Welcome to Odawara!! This is a private rental house located in Odawara. It’s an old-style Japanese home, just like visiting your grandmother’s house. During the Hakone Ekiden (long-distance relay race), runners pass right in front of the house. Perfect for workcations as well. Pets are allowed on the first floor only. The space About the Property This is a standalone house located in a residential area. One parking space is available on the premises, but certain conditions apply. Please confirm details in advance. Our facility operates with non-face-to-face check-in and check-out procedures. Therefore, we will request your personal information, including a photo, after booking. Once provided, we will share the details regarding key access. The house accommodates up to 7 guests. With a spacious 5DK layout (approximately 130㎡), it offers a completely private space, allowing you to relax with peace of mind even during the ongoing COVID-19 situation. For infection prevention, alcohol sanitizer and a thermometer are placed at the entrance. Please measure your temperature, and if it exceeds 37.5°C, kindly inform us. Children are warmly welcomed. Children up to 3 years old stay free of charge. Children up to 10 years old are charged half the adult rate. If you're bringing children, please inform us after booking so we can adjust the pricing accordingly. The base rate covers up to 2 guests. An additional ¥2,000 per night applies for each extra guest. Pets are not allowed on the second floor. The backyard is available for use. Some areas have artificial grass. Please note: there may be thorny branches or glass fragments in the yard. If using the space as a dog run, please do so at your own risk. If the rules are not followed, we may charge for damages. Both small and large dogs (and other pets) are allowed on the first floor only. An additional fee of ¥2,000 (tax included) per pet, per night will be charged. The fee will be adjusted after booking confirmation. We do not provide cages, pet sheets, or other pet supplies. Please bring your own. Please make sure to wipe your pet’s paws before entering the house after outdoor walks. If there is excessive dirt, damage, if pets enter the second floor, or if pets are brought without prior notice, an additional charge of ¥15,000 (tax included) will be applied. The backyard can be used, but there may be thorny branches or glass fragments. Use of the yard as a dog run is at your own risk. We are not responsible for any injuries to pets. Regarding Damage to Fusuma (Sliding Doors) and Shoji (Paper Screens) We check the condition of the fusuma and shoji after every guest’s stay. If damage is found after your check-out, regardless of the extent, a repair fee of ¥15,000 will be charged through the booking site. Due to the system of the booking site, we will first send the repair fee request, then confirm the damage photos and details with you. If the damage was not caused by you, please let us know via message. Our property insurance may cover the cost, so please contact us if necessary. If you notice any damage when you first enter the room, please inform us immediately. There have been repeated damages to the fusuma and shoji, and repairs are time-consuming and costly. After filling out the personal information form (via a provided URL), we will inform you of the key box code. Check-in is self-service on the day of your arrival. Q. How do I use the parking space? A. Reservations are not required. Please feel free to use the parking space. Parking instructions and details are included in the guidebook we will send before check-in. A. Both small and large dogs (and other pets) are allowed on the first floor only. The second floor is used as sleeping space with futons, so pets are not allowed upstairs. The extra fee is ¥2,000 per pet, per night. Q. Is smoking allowed? A. Smoking is prohibited inside the house. If you wish to smoke, please use the balcony. An ash bucket is provided. If there is any trace of indoor smoking, ¥15,000 will be charged. Q. Are there any staff on site? A. This property is unmanned. There are no resident staff. Check-in and check-out are fully non-face-to-face for your peace of mind. Q. Is there a supermarket nearby? A. Yes, The Big Odawara Kotobukicho supermarket is about a 10-minute walk from the property. Q. Is early check-in or late check-out possible? A. It may be possible depending on the schedule. Is the sea nearby? A. Yes, it’s about a 3-minute walk to Sannou Beach. Guest access The Western-style room next to the entrance on the first floor is off-limits. The Japanese-style room next to the dining area on the first floor contains the owner's personal belongings. Please do not touch the storage cabinet with the locked door. Other things to note About Hot Water The bathroom has hot water, but please note that the kitchen and washbasin do not have hot water. Please confirm this before making your reservation. About Air Conditioning & Heating There is one air conditioner installed in the Japanese-style bedroom 1 on the second floor. There is no air conditioner on the first floor. An electric heater is available in the closet of the first-floor Japanese-style room. Feel free to use it as needed. About Smoking Smoking is prohibited indoors. Smoking is allowed in the backyard. Please make sure to use the provided ashtray. Be extremely careful with fire. If any signs of smoking indoors or unsafe fire use in the backyard are found, you will be charged for damages. About Provided Items (The following items are not provided. Please prepare them yourself if needed.) Parking Size Width: 250 cm / Depth: 440 cm About the Front Door Key The front door lock may be a little difficult to open. Please refer to the guidebook link we sent you for instructions and a video on how to unlock it easily. About Bedding We provide futons (Japanese-style bedding). Although Airbnb may show that both futons and mattresses are available, we only provide futons. The futons are stored in the closet. Guests are responsible for laying them out by themselves.
