ROCKY HILL COTTAGE sits off the beaten path and is nestled in a peaceful, quiet environment in the countryside of Yamhill county. You must drive on a winding, curvy road through farm country to get here. We are 15-20 minutes from Wilsonville and the I-5 corridor and 15-20 minutes from Newberg. In addition, wine tours & tasting rooms are plentiful in this area and available year round. We also have horse stables, a riding arena & turnout for an additional charge per animal per day. The space 970 sq. ft 3 bedroom 1 bath small old home very comfy & quaint. There is one propane heat furnace in the kitchen that heats the house quite nicely. Two bedrooms and the bathroom have cadet heaters and free standing air cooling units are available for summer use. The kitchen is well stocked for those who choose to cook at home. The bedrooms are not particularly spacious as we have chosen to put comfy beds to fit the area. The cottage sits next to a covered riding arena with a large back yard that looks out toward a horse pasture. Two old walnut trees offer a nice shade canopy for the chair swing where you can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the environment around you. You must travel a short distance on a gravel road to arrive at this destination where there are no extraneous lights to impair your view of the stars on a clear night. We are in the country so do not expect street lights if you arrive after dark. Guest access Large backyard. Other things to note Cottage has security system. There are 3 steps to get into the cottage from the kitchen door and no hand rails. STRICT NO PET POLICY ON THE PROPERTY; that means no considerations or exceptions. No un approved guests. If you would like to have company over, please let us know in advance so we know who is on the property.
