In the midst of a 100 acre Stewardship Forest, this evolving pre-Civil War house offers the quintessential Penn’s Wood experience in the heart of the Lenape Unami region with an arboretum-like setting and trails through a gem of SE Pennsylvania. Milford Township is your host sharing a preserved open space experience to a broader public. This new listing is priced low as we learn how to be super-hosts. With all new bedding, we were setting up the end of January 2020. Pictures are updated. The space This charming house has two floors. Entry is into an open kitchen/informal dining/fireplace room. There is a full bathroom on the first floor off of the dining/kitchen area next to the laundry room that leads to the "mud room". From the dining/kitchen area there are two front rooms; formal dining room and a living room with internal stairs leading to the second floor. The second floor has three bedrooms and two baths. The two front bedrooms share a full bathroom at the end of the hall leading to the Master Bedroom. The large Master Bedroom has a sitting area, fireplace and ensuite bathroom. There is also a full cedar closet and other built-ins. A major plus is a very large rustic recreational cabin with ping pong, darts, pool table, microwave, seating areas and a wood burning stove as the main source of heat. In addition there is a garage with one bay having a garage door opener. For outdoor enthusiasts, there is a high end (masonry) two seater outhouse attached to a large tool shed. The hot tub is available for a fee. It has been flushed and cleaned from winter storage and is now in operation and heated in response to a request. Guest access Guests have full access to the property including the recreation cabin and the garage. The garage has one garage door opener with a remote. A second bay can be used as well for parking, but the bay door must be manually opened. There is outside parking for easily six cars. Other things to note The people on our staff are locals with insight into the history and secret spots of the area. We will be developing guide information to give you ideas of what you can do and see. The first consideration should be given to simply enjoying this special property. A professional forestry manager referred to this Stewardship Forest and "the Crown Jewel of Southeastern Pennsylvania" resulting from the previous owners select harvesting of "culls".
