Located on the Peddars Way in the heart of medieval Castle Acre, voted one of the best villages in Norfolk.Castlegate cottage sits pleasantly near the green and ancient bailey gate. Nearby are the ruins of the 11th Century Castle and Monastery. Close by is The Ostrich a 15th-century public house, Wittles Cafe, Spar store and Fish and Chip shop. It is an idea base for exploring with Nar Valley and Peddars Way close by and a short drive to the Coast, Sandringham, Holkham and Houghton Estates. The space The property is accessed at the rear . There is a kitchen , WC, and lounge on the ground floor with bedrooms and a bathroom with a bath and shower upstairs Guest access There’s plenty to do walk wise around Castle Acre , parking is plentiful and free . There’s a tea room and public house down the road , a lovely peaceful village location Other things to note We also have some local items to purchase made by our friend Colin ,they are made mostly from copper and driftwood. They are very reasonably priced.
