From the sunny terrace, 5 min. walk away from a quiet beach, you can enjoy birds singing and still hear the ocean. The village of Igueste de San Andrés is the starting point of many hiking routes for all levels over the mountains of Anaga Rural Park. The space Casa Papá Cacho is a typical historical canarian house located in the rural environment of Anaga. It has been in our family for 180 years and you can feel the Canarian architecture right when you walk into the house. Suitable for hikers and reading lovers both. It's a place to enjoy siestas and live with open doors and windows. Ancient mango and mamei trees surrounding the house were brought from Cuba by our ancestor Papá Cacho, who built the house two centuries ago. There is a small calm beach just 5 minutes walking from the house and you can get to playa de Las Teresitas in San Andres, 6 km away on foot and by bus/car, where you can enjoy some fresh seafood. The three most famoues hikes from here are "El Semáforo de Igueste de San Andrés", "Playa de Antequera" and "Chamorga". Guest access Beds: (max. 6 people) - 1 dormitory with double bed - 1 dormitory with a bunk-bed - 1 double sofa-bed on the living room - Crib and baby-car available if booked in advance for free. Services: - WIFI - TV vía satélite - BBQ areas on the patio (coal provided) - Full equipped kitchen - Washing machine and other utilities - Speaker to plug your music-player/phone via mini-jack. - Blankets, bed-linen, towels and body-board available. Outdoors and surrounding: - Dinning set on the terrace - Patio with BBQ and solarium. Transitive area to a relative's house, but you will have total privacy and calm. - Garden area with the shadow of fruit trees, great for 'siestas'. You can enjoy a picnic in any area of the land, please mind the risk of fire. Activities: - You can walk (5 min) to the beach (surf, swim, sunbath...) or go on excursion to any of the wandering tours (Parque Natural de Anaga). The neighbours community organize some meetings and trips around the area. Other things to note We provide a desk equipped with a monitor, mouse and keyboard. The local beach (5 minutes walking from the house) will have sand or stones depending on the season (sand during the summer). A perfect wave for surfing appears with the right conditions.
