Stunning backyard with year-round swim-spa. This home sits in the heart of the city's south - minutes from cherished parks, museums and fabulous restaurants. We've fully restored this glorious home - and opened it for multi-day get-aways, or long-term guest stays. The space A unique, charming and lavish space for a professional, couple or family! Enjoy an impressive back-yard space with swim-spa that offers a 4-season relaxing hot-tub AND a plunge-pool for summer. Rates may vary with length of stay; this property may also be booked at reduced rates should guests not desire use of the swim-spa. You will be pleased with these living and work spaces - all renewed to historic European flair. Coffered ceilings, wainscotting, brick, cedar beams, chandeliers and heated porcelain tile floors - make for a wonderful historic place to call home. For larger gatherings, you'll find comfortable seating in the open dining and living areas. Leather couches keep our guests comfy while being easy to clean. Our back den area provides a quieter space with another TV and 2 electric recliners - put your feet up and enjoy a movie. Sleep happens in our tucked away spaces: 2 bedrooms have queen beds, and a charming third-floor attic is also furnished with two double beds. We have space to work from home - just let us know and we'll make minor adjustments. Guest access Welcome to your private resort. The interior is equipped for a comfortable stay in a uniquely refurbished character home. The front verandah is perfect for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening sun. The backyard is large with a 19' swim-spa (combination hot-tub and plunge-pool), barbecue, dining area, natural gas firepit, loungers, flowers, trees - and a sanctuary of birds. From the lowest level to the three floors above, you will have access to 3 bedrooms, 2 sitting areas, a chef's kitchen, 3 bathrooms, and laundry area. Guests will have two choices for parking: directly in front of the property and at the rear of the home. Please note: swimspa fees may apply for extended stays. It's optional for our guests to have scheduled house cleanings, for an additional fee. Just let us know. Other things to note Spring, summer and fall, our trees glimmer with subtle lighting - careful not to interrupt our terrific dark sky - which boasts the best summer lighting of all. Be ready for the moon and stars - we are lucky to have little light pollution here; it may be a simple thing, but we hope you can take time to enjoy it. Even winter is glorious. Streams of sun pour inside. Meanwhile, outside Mother Nature spins magic by dusting branches with snow. There's a good chance you will be relaxing in the hot-tub enjoying the show!
