Lakefront Paradise on P Lake! Unit 1

Welcome to our beautiful piece of paradise where you’ll enjoy a fun family vacation! Come enjoy our hospitality and our “East Coast Lifestyle”. Located on Porters Lake - the most popular swimming and recreational lake in NS! We’re close to many beaches, a grocery/liquor store, cozy cafes, and many scenic walking/hiking trails. Come relax on the sandy beach, take a tour on a kayak/paddle board or relax at the fire pit with a glass of local wine/beer. The space This spacious, self contained 2 bedroom apartment is tastefully decorated with quality furnishings and 3 original South African paintings. Only steps away from the lakeside sandy beach & fire pit, cedar playground and 175 ft of lake waterfront. Come relax at one of the many seating areas located around the spacious property or go on an adventure in a kayak or on a paddle board (life jackets are mandatory when using kayaks or paddle boards - we have a variety of sizes but can’t guarantee all sizes are available). There’s a gradual walkout into the lake making it ideal for children. The water is 'brackish" - mix of salt and fresh water making it great for swimming (no leaches). We recommend packing water shoes as there are some sharp rocks and shells. There’s a large floating foam water mat and we provide yard games like ladder toss and rope toss. You’ll never be bored!! The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances (including dishwasher), drip coffee maker, toaster oven, electric kettle, and cookware. A variety of condiments, spices, oil tea, and coffee are provided. Just off the kitchen there’s a walk in pantry with recycle bins and storage for your groceries. The open concept living/dining/kitchen area has a beautiful view of the lake. The living room has a 49” smart TV with cable/Netflix. The washer and dryer are conveniently located in the utility room just off the dining area stocked with laundry detergent. The laundry/utility room is shared with the adjacent apartment/Airbnb. The bathroom is located next to the bedrooms with double sinks, a full size bathtub/shower and a linen closet stocked with fresh towels, facecloths, hand towels, shower gel, hair dryer, shampoo & conditioner. The two bedrooms with lake views are located down the hall away from the living space. Both bedrooms have queen sized beds with quality linens, blackout curtains and closets with storage/hangers for your clothing and personal items. The covered patio area with outdoor seating is a great spot to relax in the shade. Patio is shared with the adjacent Airbnb. Enjoy a nice view of the lake with your own private entrance and a shared BBQ with propane provided. Guest access Enjoy shared access to our beautiful lakeside sandy beach, fire pit and wharf. Please check the “NS check before you burn” site before lighting a bonfire. Nova Scotia updates their site daily and will implement a fire ban when the weather is very dry to help prevent forest fires. Our guests are welcome to use the kayaks and paddle boards at their own risk. Please use our amenities with respect and place them carefully back where they belong. We have 4 resort style loungers on the beach and lots of extra chairs and seating areas to accommodate everyone! Beach towels are provided. Please enjoy using the trampoline and playground at your own risk and ensure that a parent is tending to young children. We provide firewood for your bonfire (piled off to the side of the property). We have a large propane boiling pot (available upon request) for cooking lobster/seafood outside. Free parking is available for 2 vehicles with signage to the left of the driveway. We don't allow parties or social gatherings. If you wish to have any unregistered guests on the property, please ask beforehand to see if we feel comfortable with the request. Other things to note - There's a wide and gradual set of concrete steps and a concrete walkway (no railing) leading to the back of the house and the entrance to the apartment/Airbnb so it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. - Our home consists of 3 separate legal units. My family lives on the upper/main level and there are two self contained legal apartments/Airbnbs located on the bottom level. - Please be aware that we live in a rural setting that makes our property spacious and beautiful! You may encounter insects/wildlife (ie mosquitoes, black flies, spiders, ants, ticks, raccoons, etc) so we kindly ask that you understand that we try our best to remove webs and insects when cleaning but they are sometimes quick to return and rebuild.
