Welcome to “Wood View@The Old Grain House. A beautiful oak framed studio set in the grounds of our private family home. A quiet, charming part of Hereford countryside surrounded by farmland and woodland. 5 miles from Hereford, 8 miles Ross, 5 min from Holme Lacy College and 45 minute drive to Hay on Wye. Suitable for one person or a couple, short or long stay, business or pleasure, this is the perfect location for a peaceful retreat whilst exploring many of the famous nearby tourist attractions. The space Wood View has recently been tastefully re-decorated throughout. Wood View has a spacious, cosy living area, balcony with table and chairs where you can relax and enjoy the views of open fields and woodland. You may even catch a glimpse of deer and other wildlife. Set in private gardens you have access to the grassed area in front of the property, as well as a Cedar Pavillion which is available to all our guests, plenty of cosy seating and blankets for those colder evenings. A space to enjoy al fresco dining and a glass of your favourite. The living space consists of a lounge area with a three seater sofa, flat screen TV with Freeview and free Wi-fi , bedroom with Campbell combination double Mattress, supportive pocket springs and comfort layer, luxury bedding, black out blinds. If you require a certain choice of pillow please let us know beforehand. Full length mirror. Hairdryer and iron. Separate to this is an ensuite shower room with heated towel rail, robe hooks and luxury towels and a kitchen area complete with toasted sandwich /waffle/grill, omelette maker, kettle, toaster, microwave and an IceQ 24 Litre mini bar fridge. (No hob) We provide everything you need for washing up, tea towels, sponges etc. Full central heating and always plenty of hot water. Guest access Ample free parking with private entrance for two cars or more/large vans/motor homes and caravans welcome. There are a number of steps leading to the property but always well lit. A beautiful Cedar Pavilion with cushioned seating area, is also available for outdoor dining. Check in - 4.00 pm, Check out 10.00 am although flexible check in and check out times considered. Please enquire upon booking. Other things to note Wood View is the perfect place to celebrate any occasion, a special birthday, Honeymoon, Wedding Anniversary, romantic break, special occasion or just a well deserved break away with your nearest and dearest. With each booking we provide a complimentary hamper which includes milk and bread (different types available on request), cereal, preserves, butter, Tea, herbal tea, standard/freshly ground coffee, sugar, biscuits and bottles of water. *For those extra special occasions we are able to offer bespoke hampers tailored to your individual requirements. *Afternoon tea packages - indulge with Prosecco or Pink Lemonade/Elderflower/non alcoholic beverage - all sourced locally …. If you have any dietary requirements please notify us in advance - nothing is too much trouble to ensure you enjoy your stay with us. *Florists - make your stay even more memorable and let us arrange delivery for you - We have contact with a local florist who has a large selection of fresh flowers changing daily. They offer a personal service, value for money and a large stock of high quality fresh flowers at realistic prices. Storage - Very happy to provide safe storage for bikes, canoes, and drying room for clothing if required. *Vehicle rental - we now offer a bespoke service with a local company - please contact me if you require transport during your stay and this can be arranged for you. *Additional fees will apply, subject to availability We own a variety of chickens (no cockerel) so subject to plentiful laying free range eggs are available on request. No additional cleaning charges.
