Single room with scenic murals

You'll get a warm welcome when you stay with us in our lovely Edwardian house in the ancient city of Gloucester. We are well located for the City centre, Oxstalls University campus, Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, Kingsholm Rugby Ground and Barnwood business area (for EDF etc). They are all within walking distance or a short bus ride away. We are close to the bus route so it is also easy to get to Cheltenham. Please note: we do not accept bookings made on behalf of someone else. The space We offer a spacious first floor bedroom overlooking the garden with comfortable standard size* single bed. The room is furnished with mid-century furniture and includes free wi fi, drawers, clothes hangers and tea/coffee making facilities. A towel and a hairdryer are included. The room is next door to the shared bathroom with over-bath shower. The price includes a continental breakfast, with cereals, toast (with home made bread). If you will not require breakfast please let me know before you arrive. Please note: our house is not suitable for people working a night shift as we are unable to ensure a quiet house and neighbourhood during the day. If you are arriving by bike you will be able to leave it overnight in our garage. Ebikes can also be recharged in the garage. We have an EV charger which may be available to use for an extra charge. If you need this facility please request it on booking. The additional charge will be collected through Airbnb. This listing is for a room on the first floor however if you have restricted mobility I can offer a comfortable ground floor room with a double sofa-bed and downstairs wet room with WC (not ensuite but close by). We are not wheelchair accessible as there is a step up into the house at the front and back and standard width doorways. Please ask about the other room when you enquire as it is not always listed. Children: We are happy to accept babies who sleep in the same room as their parents. We can provide a travel cot, changing mat and a high chair (the sort that fits to a dining chair). You will need to bring your own cot bedding and food bowls etc. We can also accept an older child (5 years plus) if they can sleep alone in our single room. We cannot accommodate crawling babies or toddlers safely as we don't have stair-gates. If you wish to book the double and single room together please contact me for a price. Please note: we have a small unfenced pond in the garden. *a standard size single bed is 90cm wide by 190cm long. Guest access You will be very welcome to share the family dining room and the garden in fine weather. You can use our kitchen to cook light meals or make drinks or snacks but please be aware that we will be using it too. Please eat all meals in our dining room and not in your room. The upstairs bathroom is shared with other guests and there is also a downstairs shower/wet room with WC for busy times. During your stay We love meeting people and have hosted many British and international guests over the years. We try to be around as much as possible and, as we have lived in the area for over 30 years, can give you lots of advice about good places to visit.
