A cozy, pet-friendly, private suite located in the heart of wine country. A rural community surrounded by green pastures, wood fences and lots of trees! Only about 15 mins. away from the airport, 27 mins. away from UVA and downtown Charlottesville, 15 mins. from historic Gordonsville, 18 mins. to Yoder's Amish Market, 2 hrs. to DC, Jamestown, Williamsburg and 45 mins. to the Shenandoah National Park. If you love wineries, you'll enjoy the famous Barboursville Winery, and many others nearby. A charming home in the countryside of Barboursville in a quiet neighborhood but not too far off the main road. The property is set on a 4-acre lot with a large grassy area for letting pets run, taking walks or just enjoying the view. The unit is below the main house in the finished basement which includes a Kitchenette, Dining Room, Living Room, Master Bedroom and Bathroom with a Shower. The guests have two parking spaces in the driveway of the main house on the upper level. The cottage is on the lower level of the lot accessed from the driveway down multiple steps to the outside patio where the French door access to the unit is located. The guests have the entire unit and patio to themselves, a private area. The yard is shared with the hosts, primarily for letting the dogs out to run, or yard maintenance. We love to host and enjoy getting to know people as they visit. If you are so inclined and have the time, we welcome your company but if you would prefer privacy and space, we are respectful of that as well. We will be available should you need anything! IMPORTANT: To access the Guest Suite from the parking spaces in the main driveway, there are about six landscape steps that take you down to the lower level Front Door and Patio. Unfortunately, if you are not able to maneuver STEPS, this is not a good fit. Beautiful private property in the heart of Barboursville, a short drive from downtown Charlottesville. Ten minutes from shopping centers with Wal Mart, Lowes, Food Lion, Starbucks and many others but surrounded by beautiful countryside views in a charming ranch-style neighborhood. GUEST ACCESS There is a special parking area in the main driveway for guests in the black gravel area on the right-hand side of driveway. You will see the GUEST PARKING SIGN, enough space for two vehicles, side-by-side. Access to the suite requires walking down multiple landscaping steps to the lower level. In the evening, this area is well-lighted with solar lights and outside house lights. NEIGHBORHOOD Many people walk in this neighborhood for exercise and relaxing family time. Shopping centers and restaurants are a short 5-10 minutes away depending on your destination. No public transportation available.
