Casita Lova: pool, jacuzzi spa & amazing views

Take it easy at this unique tranquil countryside getaway. This traditional self-catering Casita, oozing Spanish cosy charm, is the perfect place for guests wishing to unwind, reconnect with nature and press the reset button as well as experience all the delights of rural Andalucía. A feeling of peace, harmony and serenity prevails here. Located among the spectacular mountains of the Axarquía district between Riogordo and Comares, it's close to Malaga Airport (45 mins) and the coast (35 mins). The space Set in an idyllic panorama with breathtaking amazing views, Casita Lova is one of two stone-built Casitas (the other being Casita Reya) located in the grounds of the owners' Finca (known as Casa Comares). Each Casita has a double bed and sleeps two. Casita Lova is split level with an upstairs (rustic wooden beamed bedroom and bathroom) and downstairs (kitchen and sitting area). There is an Air Conditioning inverter unit located in the Casita which provides both cooling and heating functions. There is also a gas burning stove for a snug atmosphere in the cooler evenings. Each Casita has its own pathway, entrance, private terrace and BBQ area plus use of the swimming pool and the jacuzzi spa (which is easy to operate and round-shaped for a cozy experience). The spa is under roof cover so guests are protected from both the hot sun (and any rain!) and you can thus easily relax in it while at the same time enjoying the beautiful view of the white mountain village of Comares opposite. The spa is located between the two Casitas . The beautiful pool area is positioned on a separate terrace a few metres away from the Casita and Finca. Next to the pool and slightly above it is a large wooden alfresco pergola complete with very comfortable and relaxing lounge furniture. The pool and spa are shared exclusively between each Casita (therefore a maximum of four guests at any given moment). But if one of the Casitas is booked and the other is not, the pool and spa will then be for the sole use of the booked Casita. As the plot is south facing, not only are all the above facilities sun-drenched all day as soon as the sun comes up but so also is the Casita's private terrace and BBQ area allowing perfect sunning relaxation just outside the front door. The immediate and wider countryside environment is ideal for lots of scenic walks, to play golf, bird watch, cycle, fish or stargaze. Alternatively, just chill by the pool relax in the spa or laze under the restful shade of the peaceful pergola and admire the panoramic vista to the accompaniment of birdsong and occasional goat bells all in the confines of a lovely mediterranean tropical garden. Bathrobes are provided in each Casita. There is also an Honesty Bar available for cool refreshments. The sights and sounds of the surrounding nature here instil in you an aura of calmness, tranquility and bliss. Alternatively and as well, if you would like to play Pádel, we can also arrange this for you. We can book an outdoor court at no cost (they are free to use) and we have rackets and balls that you can use . We would then play with you to make up a quartet. All you would need to have with you is some sports shoes & clothing. There is very good internet connection around the whole plot which makes it ideal for those needing to engage in teleworking. Given our superb location, we are within easy reach of the coast for the beach (the nearest, Torre del Mar, is a 35 minute drive) and also for vibrant cities like Malaga (45 mins) and Marbella (80 mins). Also very closeby is the white historically important Moorish village of Comares (25 mins) situated on top of a mountain 740m above sea level just opposite and in stunning view of our plot (on the other side of this is the Mediterranean Sea!). The picturesque white village of Frigiliana (50 mins) and the enchanting, hip and buzzing coastal town of Nerja (50 mins and which we love!) are among the many pueblos blancos in the area to choose from. Lake Viñuela is only 20 km away and offers activities such as kayaking, paddle surfing and hydro pedals as well as the hiking trails of "Los Tajos" and "Rio de la Cueva". Slightly further afield but within proximate striking distance are the famous cities of, e.g., Granada (90 mins), Ronda (100 mins), Cordoba (100 mins) and Sevilla (130 mins), among others, not to mention the well-known and awesome hike of the spectacular Caminito del Rey which is an 80 minute drive away. The awe-inspiring Sierra Nevada mountain range with its ski pistes, hiking trails and enchanting villages are only a two hour drive away: it is possible to go skiing/hiking in the morning and then be on the beach later in the afternoon! Thus, in a nutshell, our plot is very ideally and centrally placed to offer lots of things to do and see and famous places to go: all of them make for a thoroughly enjoyable day out to explore the rich and diverse history, culture and gastronomy of wonderful Andalucía! Guest access Very easy access via a cemented road (no rough dirt track) just off the MA-3107 so suitable for all types of vehicle. Roomy parking under a car port. Other things to note Smoking allowed OUTSIDE only (NOT inside the Casita and NO drugs of any sort). Non-walking babies up to about 12 months old are welcome for a one-off charge of €25. The spa costs €10 per day for the first two days usage and thereafter €7,50 per day. So that we can prepare it in advance of your stay, we will ask you before your arrival if you would like to use it and if so, for how many days. We will then let you know the total amount and ask that this be paid upfront upon arrival in cash. The spa is open for use all year round. GUEST REGISTRATION (IMPORTANT NOTE): Please note that as per 2 December 2024, ALL guests are required by SPANISH LAW to register certain requested personal details with the Interior Ministry’s government approved centralised STR registration system, SES Hospedajes, BEFORE ARRIVAL DATE. We have outsourced this process to a third party company, SES Admin, who will send out, digitally, a questionnaire which MUST BE COMPLETED BY EACH GUEST BEFORE ARRIVAL DATE. Failure to do so will be deemed a CANCELLATION by the guest for being non compliant with Spanish law with the consequence of the cancellation policy rules in place.
