Situated on the third floor of one of Damariscotta's many historical buildings this apartment consists of a large living room area with kitchenette and a separate large bedroom with bath. Parking is right next to the building and a key will be provided for your apartment. The space This 200 year old structure was originally an inn in the early 1800's known as the "Howe Tavern". It was at this time that Mary Howe, the daughter of the innkeeper, gave seances at the inn. Her spiritual powers were legendary and contributed to many ghost stories over the years since her untimely and mysterious death. Find more information about Mary Howe and her fascination with the paranormal at our local library (Skidompha) located right next door.
