Description

Kick back and relax in this stylish little house that served as the Wallace stagecoach station 135 years ago. This historic home, listed on the National Register, is perfect for a romantic getaway, small family, or two couples traveling together. Located on a quiet street in the historic district, this treasure is a great place to stay for making memories exploring the fun town and recreational opportunities in the surrounding hills. *Please note that no bikes/skis/snowboards are allowed inside. The space SLEEPING One large, romantic bedroom upstairs features a claw foot tub right in the room, looking up to the mountains, a comfy king bed, air conditioner, a work desk, a wardrobe for unpacking clothes, and plenty of space for those who may be traveling with an infant and bringing their own portable crib. Downstairs there’s a Murphy bed in the main room where 2 more can sleep. EATING A full kitchen with cooking supplies and brand new appliances gives guests the opportunity to whip up fun meals (or head into town to sample all the great restaurants). The dining table seats 4 and can double as a game table; a few games are provided in the house. LOUNGING The living area has a comfy leather loveseat, gas fireplace, and a TV for kicking back and relaxing. The covered back deck also has two comfy chairs and a gas firepit for enjoying the view of the wooded hills and lush backyard. You may see moose, elk, deer, raccoons, wild turkeys, and other wildlife on the hill behind the house. In the winter the kiddos can play in the snow in the backyard or sled down the hill at the end of the street (4 houses down). BATH & LAUNDRY The large bathroom on the first floor has a shower, toilet & vanity plus a washer and dryer. Upstairs the spacious bedroom has a tub and sink in one corner (no toilet upstairs). TOWN & FUN Wallace is a historic treasure, a beautiful old mountain town with historic architecture and tons to do! Shop, dine, or hit the fun bars. Bike the Hiawatha or the Trail of the Coeur D’Alenes. Ride the hundreds of miles of ATV/snowmobile trails. Hike the Pulaski trail. Go ziplining, fishing, hunting, or ski Lookout and Silver Mountain. Come for a fun festival like Blues Fest, the extreme Skijor competition, or search for treasures at the annual Under the Freeway flea market. GUEST ACCESS & PRIVACY Guests will be given a code to let themselves in when they arrive and will be given space to enjoy their stay, but the owners and manager all live within a few blocks and are happy to help with anything you need or stop by to welcome you to the area! Guest access Guests can park up to 2 vehicles on the concrete pad in front of the house. There’s ample trailer and toy parking on the side streets nearby. It’s just 3 blocks to town so it’s an easy walk or quick drive.
