Watch cows in the fields, enjoy alfresco meals, curl up and play games by the log burner. Just minutes from North and South coast beaches, National Trust gardens, St Michael’s Mount & St Ives, it’s the perfect base for exploring Cornwall & making happy family memories. The space Tucked away down a country lane (yet only 5 minutes from the A30) you’ll find Bank Barn, your sanctuary away from it all and the perfect place to spend your family holiday! Bank Barn has three ground floor bedrooms, a king with no foot end making it ideal for taller guests, a twin and a cosy single so there’s plenty of space for all the family. All your storage needs have been catered for, there’s hanging space in the hallway and drawers in each room and the bathroom with a shower is right next to the bedrooms for your convenience. You’ll find everything you need for preparing anything from quick snacks to decadent feasts in the fully fitted kitchen! There is an electric cooker with gas hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and all the essential pots, pans and equipment you’ll need to rustle up a delicious dinner. Enjoy family meals as you chat around the farmhouse kitchen table, if you’re travelling with a toddler and you’d like to borrow a highchair just let us know and we’ll set one up ready for you. The comfy, sunny living room is perfect for relaxing! Stretch out on the large sofa after a busy day with a cuppa next to the log burner (complementary first basket of logs during winter months) or recline in the leather armchair by the large window and watch the cows in the field as the children enjoy playing ball games in the garden. There is a TV and a selection of books and games so you can enjoy a fun family games night or keep everybody entertained on a rainy day. Enjoy the outdoor life from your own garden with a patio and picnic bench or venture out for a walk on one of the footpaths nearby. We have a guidebook in the barn with lots of suggestions for you to try. Sit back and marvel at the far reaching views, play games, enjoy family meals alfresco as you watch the sunset. Children will love to explore our adjoining meadow, run around, play ball games, simply have fun spending time in nature and when they’ve gone to bed you’ll have time to spend a romantic evening looking at the stars. If you’re bringing an infant we can supply a travel cot and a highchair if you request them when you book, giving you more space in the car for all the fun things you need! Don't forget to watch out for the deer who sometimes pays us a visit, listen to the birds singing their morning song and be sure to say hello to our very friendly cats who love to meet all our guests! Located just a 5 minute drive from the A30 and St Erth train station, all the local beaches and attractions are within easy reach of the property, making it your perfect base for exploring Cornwall. Places Nearby: Those wishing to get out and explore will be spoilt for choice between the North and South coasts with several sandy beaches within a 10 minute drive, Marazion, Perranuthnoe, Praa Sands and Hayle to get started! The ancient market town of Marazion with St Michael’s Mount is under 4 miles away. Boasting a long sandy beach and breathtaking views, it’s a must visit during your stay. St Ives is easily accessible and definitely worth taking the short train journey via the branch line from St Erth Station (a 5 minute drive away), taking in the fantastic views across Hayle’s 3 miles of golden sands along the way. When you’re there you can enjoy the many art galleries and shops as well as take in the sea air or book a trip on one of the sightseeing boats from the harbour. Other popular places nearby include Land’s End, Porthcurno, The Minack Theatre, Porthleven and Penzance to name but a few. There are also several National Trust properties and gardens to visit including Trengwaintion, Godolphin, Glendurgan and Penrose. For those who fancy venturing a bit further then Kynance Cove on the Lizard Peninsula is definitely recommended, as are the maritime town of Falmouth and the cathedral city of Truro and there's always the Eden Project or even the Isles of Scilly! Guest access There is ample free parking at the property. As we are located in the countryside, we recommend that you have the use of a car. Other things to note The barn is accessed via 5 steps to the front door and 14 to the back door, there is also a staircase inside. You will have your own personal garden but feel free to make use of the two acre paddock for games or relaxing as well if you wish.
