Built in 1905 and lovingly restored + updated, The Gertrude Suite at The Evanston is a centrally-located stay in downtown Hot Springs. DECOR: Decked out in black & white with retro touches like a Sputnik chandelier and Bertoia chairs. OFFICE: Fast wifi and a dedicated home office desk. KITCHEN: Well-stocked with sharp knives + cutting boards and 3 coffee options: Keurig, drip, and pourover. RELAX: Sign in to your streaming service on a 55" Roku TV and lounge on a comfy leather sofa. - This apartment is on the second floor (about 30 steps up - those old buildings are tall!) - Enter from the front or back stairs. The entrance to your private apartment is from the common hallway upstairs. - Check yourself in with the keypad code provided to you on the day of your arrival. No host will be present. - Shared laundry on same floor, - Shared game closet and pool towels in the common hallway. There is plenty of free parking both in front of and behind The Evanston. You'll enter the building from the front door and go up the stairs (30 steps) to the second floor to access your private apartment from the hallway. You'll have access to a shared laundry room at the end of the hall. Located on the southern edge of the Black Hills, Hot Springs is one of the most charming towns you might not have heard of! Our historic sandstone buildings are home to a variety of restaurants, shops, and other businesses. Kids enjoy Evans Plunge, an indoor/outdoor hot springs pool with slides and more. Adults can relax at the 18+ hot springs spa, Moccasin Springs. Both are an easy walk from The Evanston Suites. Wind Cave National Park and the Mammoth site are both less than a 10-minute drive from The Evanston. In 30-60 minutes, you can be at Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Rapid City, Angostura Reservoir. There is plenty of free street parking both in front of and behind The Evanston. We have both a front and back entrance so you can park either place and easily access your unit. You can easily walk to restaurants, coffee, Evans Plunge, Moccasin Springs, and more.
