Description
Penmachno is approximately 3 miles from the picturesque village of Betws y Coed, surrounded by woodlands, lakes and forests in an area of outstanding natural beauty where the tributaries of the rivers Conwy, Llugwy and Lledr meet. The space Merrion is a cosy stone built one bedroom cottage which retains its original rural village charm with log burner, internal stone walls and open beamed ceilings. The open plan ground floor area comprises sitting room with stone fireplace with wood burner, some logs provide to get you going, dining area with table and chairs and kitchen with dishwasher, oven, hob and microwave. Access to the first floor double bedroom and bathroom is via a spiral staircase. Steps from a rear landing lead down to an attractive private courtyard style garden with direct access to the beer garden at the rear of the Eagles Hotel. Guest access As well as private use of all internal areas of the cottage guests have a private garden to the rear of the cottage with direct access to the village local. Across the lane to the front is a well stocked general store which is open from early till late 7 days a week. There is plenty of unrestricted parking nearby. Other things to note The cottage benefits from electric heating and a wood powered central heating system via the wood burner in the living room, with radiators in the dining area, landing, bedroom and bathroom. Some logs are supplied for your arrival, but I recommend that kiln dried logs be used for the fastest and hottest burn. If you're unsure about using a wood burner please ask, we're happy to help.
