The space Our cozy waterfront cottage comfortably accommodates up to six guests and is thoughtfully designed for relaxing, reconnecting, and enjoying life on the Chesapeake Bay. The second-floor loft-style primary suite features a king-size bed, a private bathroom with a double vanity, and a charming clawfoot soaking tub with a vintage-style telephone faucet. Please note that this bedroom is accessed by a fairly steep and narrow staircase, which may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. On the first floor, you’ll find two additional bedrooms, each furnished with a comfortable king-size bed. These bedrooms share a full bathroom featuring a spacious custom steam shower—the perfect way to unwind after a day spent exploring or relaxing by the water. The family room offers a large sectional sofa, while the sunroom provides an additional full-size sofa, making it easy for everyone to spread out and relax. The family room television includes basic cable, the upstairs suite features a large wall-mounted Smart TV, and a portable Smart TV/monitor is available for use downstairs. We simply ask that the portable TV remain inside the home. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, pots and pans, cooking spices, paper towels, and a Keurig coffee maker that is also a combo 8 cup drip coffee maker. We provide six K-Cups and ground coffee to get your stay started, although you may wish to bring additional coffee for longer visits. As a charming cottage, storage space is limited. Families traveling with infants or toddlers should plan to bring any needed baby equipment, including items such as a portable crib, high chair, or similar essentials. Outside, you’ll discover everything that makes Little Gypsy BoHome so special. Enjoy our saltwater swimming pool (open April 1 through October 31), which is not heated but naturally warms throughout the summer. Relax in the four-person outdoor infrared barrel sauna, launch our large canoe from the shoreline, enjoy a friendly basketball game in the driveway, or fire up the gas BBQ grill while watching the sun set over the Chesapeake Bay. Our home is designed to be a peaceful retreat for guests of all ages. However, because of the waterfront setting, we ask families with young children to carefully consider whether our property is the right fit. The property includes a swimming pool, direct Chesapeake Bay access, steep terrain leading to the beach, and elevated areas above the shoreline that require constant adult supervision. Children should never be left unattended anywhere on the property. By booking, guests acknowledge these inherent waterfront safety considerations. Please note that storm erosion has affected the lower portion of our original beach staircase. For everyone’s safety, the stairs are permanently closed and roped off. Beach access is still available via the gently sloping path on the lower right side of the lawn, requiring only a single step down to the sand. We happily welcome up to two dogs with a $150 pet fee per stay. Dogs must weigh 60 pounds or less and must remain under their owner’s control whenever outdoors. Whether you’re working remotely or simply checking in with the office, our Xfinity high-speed Wi-Fi is reliable and fully capable of supporting Zoom meetings, video conferencing, and remote work. Many of our guests choose to work from Little Gypsy BoHome while enjoying the peaceful surroundings and breathtaking Chesapeake Bay views. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire home and fenced property during their stay. Please note that the neighboring pier is private property and is not available for guest use. We do not have a pier. We also ask that guests avoid climbing on the jetty rocks or entering neighboring yards so we can continue being respectful members of our wonderful waterfront community. The property is fully fenced, making it a great space for dogs to enjoy. Please keep in mind that most of the picket fence is approximately four feet tall, so larger dogs may be able to jump over it. Whenever outside of the fenced yard, all dogs must remain on a leash. Our neighbors have very small dogs, and we appreciate your help in keeping everyone safe by ensuring pets are always under control. Our saltwater swimming pool is open from April 1 through late October. The pool is not heated but naturally warms throughout the summer season. It features a one-foot tanning ledge, a four-foot middle section, and a six-foot deep end. Because pool maintenance and scheduling are carefully coordinated during the season, we are unable to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs between April and October. The outdoor four-person infrared barrel sauna is available for guests to enjoy year-round. Other things to note Our home is named “The Little Gypsy Bohome” after the Fleetwood Mac song “Gypsy”. The song is a nod to its relaxed, free-spirited vibe and our love of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. Prior positive reviews are required to book our home.
