EP#3195 Walk to town, 5 miles to RMNP. Our 2 bedroom home is located 3 blocks UP the hill from the center of town. With stunning views, proximity to restaurants, washer/dryer, and WiFi, it is perfect for an Estes Park get-away. (No A/C. No Pets!) Built in the 1950s, the house is in a quiet residential neighborhood with many year-round local residents. 10 minute drive to Rocky Mountain National Park and 5 minute drive to The Stanley Hotel & Safeway, walkable .7 miles to Skyview. . Our cute little house on the hill was built in the 1950s, if you prefer sleek, modern accommodations, this is not be the right vacation home for you. It has been updated, but still reflects the era in which it was built -- there is no dishwasher and no A/C. We cannot host pets. No dogs, no cats. The house is located in a nice quiet neighborhood, so please be respectful of the neighbors -- after all, they may be the folks helping you at the grocery store or serving you drinks at the bar. We have a strict no pets policy. Please use the provided bear proof trash can. The town of Estes Park has strict ordinances regulating trash receptacles to keep people and bears safe. Guests have access to parking directly in front of the house, use of the backyard, and the washer and dryer. Please do not park along the side of the house or in front of the gate. We try to stay in communication and respond as quickly as possible to messages from our guests. However, we don’t have a staff answering the phone or monitoring our inbox, so unlike a hotel management service, you might have to wait until we get back from hiking, driving to a doctors appointment, or working. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about the space, neighborhood, or area - we enjoy helping our guests have successful getaways. This is a quiet residential neighborhood. Many of the homes are occupied by year round residents who help keep this town running. Loud parties are not welcome. The center of downtown is just a short walk down the hill, which does mean you will need to walk back up the hill to return. Up the hill from the house brings you to HWY 34, and less than 5 miles from the north entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. There is no Lyft or Uber service available in Estes Park at this time. I highly recommend the Visit Estes Park website for all the information you could possibly want on getting around town. The website provides everything from trip planners to seasonal shuttle routes and walking maps. We have a strict no pets policy. I know, I’ve noted it before, but I will still get requests to bring animals. Please do not make a reservation request if you need to travel with your animal. Please make sure your profile is complete and provide me with pertinent information about your travel companions. It is easier for me to communicate and prepare for your stay if I know a little bit about you and where you are coming from. For example, if you are from Denver, you won’t need winter driving tips, but if you are flying in from Orlando and renting a car, you may want winter tips. We are permitted by the town of Estes Park for a max number of guests, regardless of age. If you are traveling with infants or toddlers, ABnB will not require you to add them to your guest count. However, our city license considers them as part of the guest count. So, if you are traveling with infants or toddlers, please send a reservation request to confirm your TOTAL guest count before booking. Any violation of my max permitted guest count will result in a $200 fee. The Guest Service Fee is an ABnB fee, it is not a host generated fee. The cleaning fee is passed on to my cleaners - I hope my guests understand the need to pay them a living wage in a small seasonal tourist town and can be okay with the fee. Taxes are based on city, state, and county - there is nothing a host can do to change those. Estes Park is currently adding additional fees to short term rentals, which will be rolled into nightly stays when they are finalized. Check-in is anytime after 3pm & check-out is anytime before 11am. Please remember we will probably have guests checking in or out the same day you arrive or leave, and those 4 hours are needed to make the space ready between guests. There is no Lyft or Uber service available in Estes Park at this time. Due to town wildlife ordinances, we require guests use the provided bear-proof trash bin. Securely bag all trash and recycling before putting it in the bin. Living in a high desert zone requires caution around the use of outdoor fires. The Town of Estes Park banned fires at short term rentals and will fine vacation rentals $1000 for violations. If a guest breaks the no fires rule they will be be charged $1000. Please be aware of the danger associated with outdoor open fires in an area prone to wildfires during dry and windy conditions, whether at the rental or out exploring.
