Nature, Nordic bath, games room and sauna

350 m2, 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 5 toilets. In the heart of the Ardèche countryside (no cars), our large country house (15 people) is made for families, friends or seminars. Well heated and equipped with large kitchen, 2 fridges/freezer, laundry room for groceries. Ideal for relaxing and full of activities on site: Nordic bath, sauna, brazier, BBQ, petanque, games room (table tennis, foosball, darts) and walks. Close to Peaugres and the gourmet village of St Bonnet le Froid. The space What are the little extras of our house? - A very large accommodation with 350 m2 and a living room of 80 m2 in a renovated barn for large tables (15 p). To dance just push the tables but thinking about closing the doors and glass windows because it's important to keep a good relationship with the neighborhood - A total of 15 beds ( including 3 double bedrooms), 5 toilets - 4 shower rooms including 1 jetted tub - 2 living rooms ( one to stay away from noise , the other in the living room) - well heated house via central heating while having the pleasure of a central fireplace, a wood stove and a fire pit ( excluding drought to rule out any risk of fire) - possibility to cook at 8 without getting in the way and very large oven ( 4 chickens roasted simultaneously😉) - 2 fridges / freezer - a laundry room to store all the supplies of a group - in the middle of nature at the end of a cul-de-sac so no vehicles or urban noise and a magnificent view of the Alps and the valley - Full of activities on site for at least 3 days without a car: - a hot tub with spring water (except if there are strong frosts): heated by a wood burning stove. Guests decide to fill it, heat, and empty it. In short, a friendly collective project - an infrared sauna overlooking the forest . For the Nordic bath and sauna , access is free , a deposit of €1000 will be requested which can also be used in case of a complaint for nighttime noise. - a boules court - games room with ping pong, foosball and dart games ( very convenient if it rains) - walks on site without taking your car. If you like to look for mushrooms, you've come to the right place - Sheltered gas barbecue - terrace for a solarium or yoga/meditation/ Qi Gong/ Tai Xi. a great location for internships 😉 - Pets allowed. - well equipped house to avoid overly bulky luggage ( e.g. tea towels, microwave, 3 filter coffee makers, 3 toaster, bread machine, 2 raclette machines, 1 fondue, 1 electric crepière, robot, yogurt maker ,books/magazines, full of board games...) and lots of products of 1 st necessities because we come there every month to recharge our batteries (excluding sheets and towels) - A small hostel 10 minutes away that makes take away meals or an Ardèche caterer who delivers on site (reservation is required) - at 900 m altitude so a little cool in summer and often above the fog in winter - 30 minutes drive from the gourmet village of St Bonnet the cold ,its large gastronomic tables, specialty grocery stores and craft shops - well located also for visiting the Safari de Peaugres, acrobranches , Rochepaul trial center or small Bugnières cross-country ski resort - good WiFi - and no TV:-) In short: a large house that lives , well equipped to accommodate families or large groups. Summary: - Capacity of 15 people: 3 bedrooms with double beds + 2 dorms in adult size bunk beds) - 5 WC- 4 bathrooms (including one with bathtub) - 350 m2 of living space - a large living room of 80 m2 with large bar , 2 tables for large table , 2 living rooms one with central fireplace the other wood stove. - a games room equipped with ping pong, foosball and darts - Nordic bath and sauna are free, however we will ask you for a deposit of 1000 Euros upon your arrival which can also be used in case of a complaint for nighttime noise. - An ideal place also for green internships or seminars (osteopathy, Wellness- Yoga- QI Gong , meditation etc...) - Thank you for bringing your sheets and bath towels or laundry service optional sheets and towels: - 17 Euros /double bed + 2 towels - 14 Euros /single bed + 1 towel - filter coffee makers on site ( no capsules) - crib without mattress and high chair available Check-in BEFORE 7pm because someone will welcome you Exits 3pm max unless a 2nd group arrives on the same day, in this case checkout 11am. Attention: from November to the end of March, the Ardèche department requires any vehicle to be equipped with snow tires or chains (Montagne Law). The path to the house is not cleared of snow so always have at least 2 vehicles equipped with chains or 4x4 snow tires to ensure the co-driving of the whole group. What are the little extras of our family home? - in nature at 900 m altitude and at the end of a cul-de-sac so no passage of vehicles or urban noise - very nice view, with a little luck you will see Mont Blanc - a hot tub with spring water to fill, heat and clean by guests . The water heats up with a built-in wood burning stove. On the other hand, if there are strong frost, the filling of the Nordic bath will not be possible (frozen pipes) - an infrared sauna to detoxify. - the house where we sleep is 200 m2 with 2 floors so space for everyone - a boules court - walks on site without taking your car. If you like to look for mushrooms, you've come to the right place - Pets allowed. - sheltered gas grill, - central heating, wood burning stove & fire pit ( from October to April) - a large terrace downstairs for a solarium or yoga/meditation/Qi Gong/ Tai Xi sessions. - An ideal place for soft medicine courses or green seminars with enough activities on site for at least 2 days - well equipped house to avoid overly bulky luggage ( e.g. tea towels, microwave, 5-burner stove and large gas oven, 3 filter coffee makers, 3 toaster, bread machine, raclette, fondue, robot, books/magazines, full of board games...) and lots of products from 1 st necessities because we come there every month to recharge our batteries (excluding sheets and towels). However, we don't provide speakers for music - possibility to have a meal prepared on the day of your arrival - WiFi - no TV:-) - 30 minutes drive from the gourmet village of St Bonnet the cold ,its large gastronomic tables (ex Régis Marcon 3 stars...) and all its small specialty grocery stores, its mushroom fair - at the same distance to go to the Peaugres Safari, tree climbing to Annonay or the center of Tout terrain, trial de Rochepaul. Before you decide, make sure our country house works for you: - To access the Maison de Chatelard, you have to follow for 2 km a half paved forest path (10 minutes of climb). More than 600 people went up there in 2023 without any worries . Just make sure your car is not very low and you don't go over the 20 km/h. - from November to April, it is necessary that the cars are equipped with snow tires and that at least 2 vehicles have chains because the forest path is not cleared of snow. With the current climatic hazards, you never know! . - in case of strong frost, the hot tub may be unusable because the pipes to fill it will also be frozen - The house is 900 m above sea level on the Ardèche du Nord side, so remember to always take a good sweater , anorak/scarf as well as good shoes, walking poles to walk around - If you want to listen or dance, you will need to make a commitment to do so in the living room or barn by closing the doors and windows. Since there were 2 groups who did not respect this instruction so nuisance for the neighborhood and noise spreads easily in the valley, we ask upon your arrival a deposit check of 1000 Euros in case of night noise that will be returned to you 3 days later. It's essential for us to respect the neighborhood and count on you. - For sheets/ towels , 2 solutions: either you come with your own sheets - total 3 double beds, 12 single beds- (60x60 covers - fitted sheet and duvet cover) or we offer the service via laundry . - -We intentionally wanted to keep a simple and authentic character at this country house with lots of antique objects, heathered, sometimes revamped . Hence its somewhat vintage and timeless look. - In the living room, the large chestnut board floor is vintage and we did not want a tiled outdoor terrace but only lauzes and grass (shoes with heels not recommended)... Also if you are looking for a modern and trendy accommodation, you may not enjoy your stay too much. - Here nature is queen and regains its rights as soon as we leave it. You'll rub shoulders with a multitude of insects, see mug holes here and there, and maybe even a few deer, wild boar, or foxes. - the 1st shops (Villevocance or St Bonnet le Froid) are 20 minutes away by car. Also if you want to stay quiet throughout your stay, take all your supplies. On site, a bread machine (remember to bring flour and a sachet of baking yeast) - The water flowing is the water from the spring from our water table. It's still filtered and we drink it without any worries. But it's always best to bring a few water packs in case of a power outage . - Wifi works pretty well and remote work is regularly tested.
