The pool and outdoor area are fantastic, with a great infinity pool, barbeque area and a stunning view. The space The vineyard from the end of the 19th century was completely renovated in 2010 and the swimming pool was ready in 2016. The property is idyllically situated with stunning views over vines and hazelnuts, close to Costigliole d`Asti, a small gem of a village. Here you are in the middle of the real Italy and the area is also on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The house: VILLA MINODA has a total of 8 large bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. Normally only 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms are available to guests, however special arrangement could be made (contact the host Vegar). See also how rooms are available for guests below. The private bedrooms are large and with good quality beds (all double beds). The bathrooms are delicate – all with showers, sinks and toilets. All bedrooms have blackout curtains. There are two baby beds available (as well as two baby chairs +). The kitchen is large and well equipped. There is a large dining table and room for many guests around the table. On the first floor you will also find a large living room, as well as a separate large TV lounge and a separate bathroom. On the top floor there is a large playroom with table tennis and a large seating area. Outside the kitchen you will find a pleasant outdoor kitchen/ barbeque area, a large dinging table and a nice seating area. Here you can enjoy a coffee or a good meal with the stunning view of the UNESCO site and also enjoy the beautiful sunrise if you are an early bird. The infinity pool is large and beautiful. It has plenty of depth for jumping, diving and playing (the pool is normally open from mid-May to start-October). The area around the pool is delicate with its own shower. It has a total of 12 sunbeds, as well as a nice seating area. Here too you can enjoy the stunning view. In the basement it is a large garage (110 sq.m) for 2-3 cars, with stairs directly to the kitchen area. When you arrive, Diana will (normally) do the check-in and explains the important parts of the villa. She also ensures that the house is clean and tidy, and that the beds are made. You get towels for your stay (included for the pool). Bed linen and towels are rented from a professional company. The location: The location of the house is a perfect base to discover the UNESCO world heritage in Piedmont. By car is the glorious Alba approx. 20 minutes away and to Barolo it takes half an hour. Asti is approx. 20 minutes away. All these cities have activities that should be explored, and of course fantastic restaurants and wineries worth visiting. The nearest wine tasting vineyard is 500 meters away and Barbaresco is only 15 km away. It is also a short distance to larger cities such as Turin (1h), Milan (1.5h) and Genoa (1.5h). The sea and the coast of Liguria is approx. 1.5h away and the same up to the nearest mountains. Here you can really enjoy beautiful Piedmont with all it has to offer of wine, food, truffles, markets, festivals, golf and football. Guest access You will be the only guest at the property during your stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms that are not booked during the rental period are closed (10 people means 5 bedrooms/ bathrooms). Contact Vegar if you need other arrangement. Other things to note You have 4-5 mountain bikes available at the house. If you are more than 10 guests, we charge extra per night for extra guests (automatically added to the price). Check in time 5PM-9PM (outside this extra fee will be charged). Check out time 10AM.
