Red Rock Canyon Family-Friendly 5 Bedroom Home

Family friendly home with 5 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms on a quiet street adjacent to Colorado Springs' most underrated open space- Red Rock Canyon. The backyard offers obstructed views of Garden of the Gods. 5 min drive to Garden of the Gods and downtown Manitou Springs, 10 min drive to downtown Colorado Springs. Step or bike right out the front door onto the hiking trails at Red Rock Canyon Open Space and enjoy easy access to some of the best Colorado Springs restaurants and attractions. The space This is a 1700 sq. ft. single family home with two stories (a main level and a garden level) equipped with central air and heating. There are 5 total bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. HOUSE INFORMATION: The main level features 2 bedrooms (queen bed and bunk room), 1 full bathroom, kitchen, dining table with seating for 10, and a sitting area with a TV. The lower level features 3 bedrooms (3 queen beds), a full bathroom, and a living room with a TV. The sectional in the basement can be used for extra sleeping arrangements by moving the ottoman and covering with sheets and comforter (provided). Both TVs are equipped with Netflix, Disney+, Hulu (with ads), and Amazon Prime accounts for your use. BACKYARD: There is a small back porch with a propane grill off of the main level for your use. There is a fenced-in xeroscaped backyard with a propane fire pit and 8 Adirondack chairs available. In late summer, the backyard will also provide fresh raspberries that you are welcome to eat! NOTES: Although we can host a maximum of 12 people, please note that the top bunk of the bunk bed is not intended for adult use. Please be sure to view the bed arrangements prior to booking for larger adult groups. We recommend no more than 10 adults, or groups with 8 or less adults plus children, for the most comfortable stay! Guest access LAUNDRY: There is a laundry room with both washer and dryer available for your use located on the lower level. It is only accessible through one of the queen bedrooms. BICYCLE PARKING: Generally, the small attached garage is locked and unavailable for guest use. However, if you need a safe place to store your bikes or other outdoor equipment please let us know and we’d be happy to grant access. Other things to note Due to our proximity to the mountains, wildlife do frequent our front yard (mostly at night). Please excuse any deer droppings- they’re not great at cleaning up after themselves. The exterior trash cans are designed to be bear resistant- please ensure they latch when closing them and do not leave any food items outdoors overnight. If you encounter animals during your stay, simply leave them alone and give them their distance. If you’re wondering whether any animals made an overnight visit during your stay, reach out and we’ll check the security cameras! There are 2 exterior cameras which do record when they sense motion: one doorbell camera at the front door, and one overhead camera above the garage (facing the front yard).
