La Maison Refuge

Nestled in a small cirque at 1400 meters above sea level, just below Plateau de Saugué and a few minutes from the cirque of Gavarnie, the Maison Refuge welcomes you in the heart of the Pays Toy, in the Hautes Pyrénées in the commune of Gavarnie-Gèdre. A house-landscape open to the mountain, a warm cocoon-house to unwind. The space La Maison-Refuge was designed to accommodate 5 people. It draws on the design of old-fashioned barns, featuring a mezzanine with a 90 cm bed and a 160 cm bed, accessible via a comfortable ladder, and a alcove with a 160 cm bed downstairs. The kitchen will provide you with all the necessary equipment (please note that there is no microwave). You will find a washing machine and dryer available for your use, as well as a vacuum cleaner. The house has a sound system, a projector for watching movies, a library with a large selection of books for all ages, and plenty of board games. A hair dryer is available in the bathroom. The house is heated by a wood-burning stove. Outside you will enjoy the Nordic bath, the barbecue and the terrace. Linens and towels are provided. The package includes sheets, towels, wood, the use of the Nordic bath as well as cleaning.
