The couple wanted a place of their own in the country when they came to visit Edna's sister Gertrude Geddie and her family in Laurel. The Little House is located across the street from Landrum's Homestead & Village, which is a 30 acre recreation of a late 1800s village—walk across the street and enjoy the afternoon taking a step back in time.
