Cozy and beautiful house, outside the busy downtown of San Pedro de Atacama. Impressive view of the mountain range, silence and tranquility. The bathroom is located next to the room, it has no direct connection to the bedroom (see photos). The Shelter has a campfire area and a large kitchen. I am not currently renting the other room that shares a bathroom. Eventually I use the bathroom, but you won't share it with other guests. ** There is another room, with private bathroom, also on Airbnb* The space The house is located on the outskirts of San Pedro, which ensures tranquility and silence for all visitors who are looking for a real rest. The kitchen, fully equipped and available to passengers, works as a perfect meeting place for those of us who share the place. If you book this room you will have free access to the kitchen and common areas of the house. There's always room in the fridge so you can leave your food. Since 2025, the Shelter has had Satellite Internet! This ensures a stable and fast connection. Please carefully review the Check-in and Check-out times. If you plan to check in after 8:00 PM, please check beforehand! Guest access It is possible to use the outdoor grill and also the sector to make bonfires at night, under the clean and starry sky of the Atacama Desert. **Keep in mind that wood is a scarce commodity in the Desert.** The house is in a prime location for observing the night sky! I have complete information about the tourist sectors and I also offer the possibility of getting to know less visited places in a more personalized format (you can ask about private rides in 4x4, Toyota 4Runner). **The price per night does not include breakfast service, but I offer free water, tea and coffee during all the days of the stay ** (the Refuge is not a Hotel or a Hostel, it is my house and I share it with those who want to enjoy some time in this beautiful Desert). During your stay I currently live elsewhere on the same property, about 130 meters from the Refuge, so I'm close by if you need my help. When I'm not at home, you can contact me via Airbnb or WhatsApp. Some days of the month, the kitchen works as a meeting center between friends who enjoy chatting, sharing and cooking with a view of the Andes Mountains. Perfect for the traveler who wants to share with locals, but also have privacy and independence. Other things to note If you visit San Pedro de Atacama during the months of February/March, it is advisable to come prepared for some rainy days and some thunderstorms in the Cordillera (it is what we call "Altiplánico Winter"). It is the driest desert, but the climate has changed in recent years. We currently have more rain during the year and some cloudy days, especially during the Altiplano Winter.
