Located in the heart of South Texas farm & ranch country, our property is covered with scattered motts of mesquite, cactus, & native grasses. We boast of having some fantastic colors with our spring, summer, & fall wildflowers. Wildlife sightings are a common occurrence for guests. We have several resident white tail deer, which includes a couple of fantastic bucks, as well as quail, rabbits & a pair of armadillos. We are a bird watchers paradise with many of the migrating birds & fowl stopping off here on their migrations north & south. One of many of our guests favorite pastimes is watching the large array of hummingbirds & purple martins. Guest access Enjoy all that the four seasons have to offer in this picturesque South Texas setting. Guests may have access to the 6 acres of mowed trails & you are welcome to have your leashed pets accompany you as you explore the property. Other things to note In the fall some of the fields in this area are a favorite feeding stop for migrating dove & possibly other fowl. Although we do not allow hunting on Rose Hill, some of the neighbors do. So it is not unusual to hear an occasional rifle or shotgun shot in the fall. We also ask that guests be aware (as in all rural settings) that we share our property with some undesirable reptiles.
