Description
The Grand Mesa is beautiful! We are located at 10,200' in elevation. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SNOW ON THE GROUND THROUGH MAY AND INTO JUNE. We have a total of 9 cabins for rent. We are across the street and a short walk to two lakes, beautiful scenery, hiking trails, XC skiing, atv-ing, snowmobiling, canoeing, mtn biking, and great fishing! We rent boats, stand up paddle boards & snowshoes. We also have snowmobile tours and rentals. There's something for everyone! The space The cabin has a kitchen with all the cooking essentials you should need for your mountain getaway. There is a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, and more. Just bring your own groceries and a chef! The bathroom has a shower, sink, and toilet. Compact, but efficient for a log home. We provide linens, towels, blankets, soaps, coffee, and paper products. Wifi works at the main office/lodge. It kind of reaches to the cabins, but not well enough for streaming. We have a dvd collection you can borrow from, but you would need to have your own dvd player or laptop. We also have board games in the office that you can borrow. Guest access Summer: Each cabin has its own charcoal grill, picnic table, and fire ring outside, but you are more than welcome to use the community fire pit. Around the larger fire pit are hammocks to enjoy the view looking out over Deep Ward Lake. We also have a community pavilion that you are more than welcome to use with extra picnic tables and a propane grill. We also rent canoes, a row boat, stand up paddle boards, a hydrobike, and other boats. Winter: We have snowshoes and plastic sleds you can borrow. We also offer snowmobile tours and rentals. Other things to note *The weather can change quickly on top of the Mesa. You may want to make sure to bring with you extra clothing, rain jackets, and bug spray. *During the winter months, the road is plowed right to our property, so there is no need to worry about four wheel drive, but having good snow tires is always recommended for safety. *Keep in mind that there will be snow on the ground from November through May and sometimes into the beginning of June. *We are at 10,200' in elevation. *We have 10 cabins - that means that you have neighbors. *Our cabins are in the woods - we do our best to get rid of mice, flies, and spiders, but it is an ongoing battle. *The closest town is Cedaredge, and it is a 25 minute drive. There are two laundromats, many restaurants, a grocery store, and a gas station. We only sell gas in the winter for snowmobiles. *Wifi broadcasts from the office. It does not reach the cabins very well. *There is no cell service here. If you need to make a quick phone call, you can do so in the office during business hours 9-5. Otherwise, if you drive down the road about 5 miles, there is a large overlook above the town of Cedaredge where you can get cell service.
