Cozy house with a family feel & amazing views

Welcome to Sälenfjällen & Northern Europe's largest ski resort! Relax with the family in this peaceful home with beautiful views of the mountains and Lindvallens ski slopes. You are close by, and it's close by car to Lindvallen's ski area. 4 people will stay comfortably in the house. Modern house with all the necessary amenities you need. We live in this house in Sälen all year round, so this is our home that we sometimes rent out. The space Familial accommodation in a quiet area. The house was built in 2021 and is a single-story villa of 95 sqm. Wooden deck on both the front & back of the house. The house is located in Sälensby near the center of Sälen with views of the mountain & Lindvallen ski slopes. To the ski slopes in Lindvallen, you can easily get there by car in about 7 minutes, depending on traffic. Kläppen Ski resort is about a 15-minute drive south. It is 5.5 kilometers to Vasalopp start. From Scandinavian Mountains Airport, it is 30 km and it takes about 30 minutes by car from the airport depending on road conditions & traffic. There is snowmobile trail a stone's throw from the house as well as cross-country skiing/illuminated tracks a short walk below in the residential area. The house has all the necessary amenities such as smartTV, Wi-Fi, dishwasher, microwave, washer & dryer, oven, towel dryer, etc. The kitchen is fully equipped. Sheets & towels are included. We live in Sälen all year round and this house is our home that we rent out from time to time during the winter season. In the house, our personal belongings remain when you rent the house from us. In the closets we have left clothes and in the kitchen we still have dry goods and freezer items. A shelf in the fridge we usually leave behind with our own fridge items. But you have space to use the rest of the fridge. You are also welcome to use spices as well as sugar and anything you may need for cooking. Detergent, dishwashing brush, dishwashing tablets and the like are also available for you to use. Prices vary depending on high season, low season, and demand. The demand for renting accommodation is great during the high season that runs mainly during Christmas & New Year's weeks & Sportloven which falls week 7-10, as well as Easter holidays, then the price is also higher. Week 9 is the largest sports holiday week in Sweden and at the same time is Vasaloppet winter week. The weekend week 9 on 1-3 March it is at the same time the big Vasaloppet. So then there are a lot of tourists and high pressure in the Sälen area and most homes are booked a long way back. Read the "house manual" when booking, and read it before you check out thank you. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions! As I said, we live in Sälen all year round and Johanna was born & raised in Sälen so she knows the area inside & out. But be sure to move the cars away if you are at home when the snow plow comes and will remove snow from the yard. Feel free to shovel snow outside the entrance. Broom & Shovel are available at the entrance. Sometimes it can be very icy outside in the yard and on the driveway depending on the weather and wind. Be mindful of this so you don't slip on the ice as it can be tricky. Please let us know if sanding is needed and we will resolve sanding as soon as we can. Other things to note We have both a dog & cat & our daughter is a "horse girl" so we do not recommend this accommodation for anyone with a fur allergy, even though we clean very carefully before renting, we do not recommend it to allergy sufferers because there may be traces of fur in the house. Keep in mind that you live in someone's home, so please treat it with consideration and respect. You are welcome to socialize and have a good time in our house, but we do not allow wild parties or major events. This is a quiet residential area with people who are residents of Sälen, who live here all year round and live their everyday lives here, with school & work. It is therefore not a common tourist/rental area, so please think about it and show consideration for those who live in the area. It is absolutely not allowed to walk indoors with ski boots or shoes, it ruins the wooden floor. Skis left if possible outside the house. If you need to bring the skis in the house, put them in the laundry room. Smoking or vaping indoors is not permitted. Be considerate of our neighbors and remember not to disturb neighbors with loud music or the like. If anything breaks in the house, please let us know as soon as possible. We are available by phone and are helpful with questions about the house and other things during your stay. We are usually not far away so usually we can come to the house and be helpful if you need it.
