This cottage is registered with the Quebec Tourist Board under registration number/CITQ numéro d'établissement 298554. 1 Bedroom cottage on a small (12 Acre) lake. 1hr 15mins from Montreal and 25mins from Morin Heights Ski resort. Private and beautiful, 5 other properties on the lake. The space This cabin is all about the peace and quiet and nature. Get your walking shoes on and see can you spot everything on the list below (or maybe add to it!!) Common sightings: Beaver, Loon, Frogs, Chipmunk, Whitetail deer, Hawks, Ducks, painted turtles, humming bird, blue jay, Red Cardinal, woodpecker, wild turkey, geese Less common sightings: Heron, Snapping Turtle, Vulture, Salamander Rare sightings: Porcupine, Mink, Otter Guest access Private dock, 2 man canoe and paddles, 1 man Kayak and paddle, charcoal BBQ, 2 adult and 3 kids snow shoes. Note that the dock will be pulled out of the water from mid November until spring. Swimming in the lake is very good. No motorized craft allowed. I don't dive off the dock (bit too shallow at the edge of the dock) but it's ok to jump in feet first. Average depth of the lake about 12 to 16 feet. Other things to note IMPORTANT NOTE: Driveway down to the cottage is steep. In winter season parking at the top is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED if your car is not equipped with all wheel drive. On public holidays (Christmas, New Year, Thanksgiving, Spring Break, etc) a min stay longer than 2 days may be required, depending on the timing of your booking request. Don't forget to bring lifejackets if you have kids who are not strong swimmers and keep an eye on the small ones! The cabin sits less than 100feet from the edge of the lake and the water gets deep quickly from the edge. Although Pets are allowed, there are now municipal regulations in place that dogs are to be on a short leash at all times outside of the cabin and cannot go onto private property or chase wildlife.
