In the middle of the nature reserve in the beautiful Alentejo, between Vila Nova de Milfontes and Odemira, near São Luis, we offer this beautiful fire truck, lovingly converted, for rent... also affectionately called "Emma" by guests. The space "Emma" is a comfortable Mercedes 609D, a former fire engine, in very good condition and was converted with a lot of love and beautiful natural wood by a carpenter. The car has all the accessories you need for a great stay. Emma is pure deceleration.... Emma includes: - A large double bed with 1.40 width and 2 m length - A kitchenette with: - 2-burner gas stove - Refrigerator - Large sink - Water tank for rinsing to refill - Good kitchen equipment with all dishes for 2 people Guest access Welcome to Pachawa! Directions to Emma: Once you arrive at the Pachawa parking lot, please choose a parking space and park your car there (our remaining property is car-free)...all spaces, except those marked with 'Privado', are at your disposal. To get to your accommodation, go downhill from the parking lot towards the white house. Then you will see it on the left... Your vacation home 'Emma' is waiting for you. Open the massive door, jump up the step and make yourself at home. Just above your fire truck you will find a nice chill-out area where you can enjoy filtered drinking water in the large container in the outdoor kitchen for free. If you leave the outdoor area on the right with the chickens (which, by the way, do not have a rooster that could wake you up in the morning :-)), you will find a rustic wooden toilet, a sink and a shower directly on the right behind the barn (please turn the lever all the way to the right and wait a moment until warm water comes). If you continue to follow the path behind the toilet, you will come to our great, refreshing pool. At the pool a little downhill you will see a yellow house that is private, and to the left of it the alpine hut-like bathhouse with other beautiful hot water showers and other toilets with wonderful views of nature. Other things to note All our toilets are compost toilets. These are very sustainable, as we use almost no water (unlike conventional toilets, which require 9 liters of water per flush!) and can reuse the compost as a wonderful fertilizer for our plants... so everything remains a cycle and no chemicals are used. Very important: Therefore, please do not use chemical shower gel or shampoo, as we irrigate our trees with the wastewater! Please use only 100% biodegradable products, such as the organic soaps that you will find as a small gift on your bed.
