Well-equipped 60s beach house

An atmospheric "beach house" designed by architect Eero Ponkala in 1967, which has begun to be renovated in the spirit of the times. In addition to the cottage, there is a separate wooden sauna and a large yard. The distance from Turku is less than half an hour and shopping needs can be ordered to the door, for example, from Kupittaa Citymarket. 3 bedrooms, an alcove and 3 workstations! Private beach, within walking distance of Summer Café Lempi and Harvaluoto beach with kiosks guarantee a memorable holiday. We charge an additional fee of €100 for the use of the sauna. The space The living room and dining area open up to the center of the house, with large windows overlooking the sea and backyard. The living room leads directly to the larger terrace, next to which are the stairs to the lower courtyard and the outdoor sauna. The outdoor sauna has another shower in the cottage, which cannot be used in winter. At the other end of the house is the master bedroom with workstations and an alcove separated by a bamboo curtain that effortlessly transforms into a bedroom, playroom, or workspace. The other two bedrooms are located at the other end of the house and next to them is one entrance and a smaller terrace. A third workstation can be separated in the lobby area between the bedrooms. Next to the open space, on the forest side wall, there is a compact kitchen and a laundry room/hallway and next to it a bathroom with showers. The renovation of the bathroom and laundry room was completed in March 2022 and they are being renovated throughout to suit the spirit of the time. Materials include Pukkila hexagone floor tiles, Arabian vintage water fittings, Tapwell copper colored faucets, etc., and a black shower enclosure. For guests who appreciate ecology, we recommend a cozy landscape toilet at the back of the cottage. :) Guest access The car is parked in the parking area at the end of the road, from where there is a downhill slope to the cottage. You can get down the hill with a stroller, but hardly with a wheelchair, at least not without help. You cannot get directly to the beach from the main cottage in a wheelchair, but it is possible to agree on the need with the neighbor, along the edge of whose plot there is also access by car to the beach. Behind the cottage there are wonderful forest road networks and paths and trails in many directions. Small roads are nicely accessible, for example, Summer Café Lempi and Harvaluoto beach services. Other things to note The cottage has a fireplace and an air heat pump, but we hope that guests will use energy sparingly. Both for the sake of costs and, above all, for the sake of our common planet. <3 We therefore recommend that you prepare yourself with woolen socks and knitwear all year round. They are also a pleasure if you want to curl up on the terrace to watch the sunset as the evening dims. :) We charge an additional fee of €100 for the use of the sauna.
