Your master bedroom (25M2) includes two single beds & one king-sized double bed; your second bedroom (16M2) has one single and one double bed; pillows, bolster, blankets, extra pillows & freshly laundered sun & air dried bed linen are all included. Both rooms have luggage racks and wardrobes with hangers Your two big bathrooms (each 8M2) have modern ceramics, grab bars & hot water showers (the master bathroom also has a cold water rain shower); essentials provided free include soaps, body washes, tissues, shampoos & conditioners; you'll find freshly laundered towels, sun & air dried, basins, mirrors, twin mirror lights & exhaust fans; also rails for hanging OR drip drying towels & wet clothes. The difference between your two bedrooms are: In the master bedroom you'll find a various books, a full length mirror & and a free standing towel and trouser rack or valet; the glazed windows have both curtains, security bars and insect screens; take just four steps on the small terrace to reach the big living space; on the terrace there is an outdoor sink. Your twin room has large windows with solid teak blackout shutters, security bars, insect screens and curtains and a big mirror in the bathroom; it's just two steps to the big living space. You have your own big fridge in the large living space between the two bedrooms; there's a large dining table & seating; on a raised section there are throw cushions & stylish Thai triangular cushions for relaxing. Attached to the living space you've an outdoor kitchen where you can prepare and enjoy your breakfast or takeaways for example (if you like to try more serious cookery please let me know when booking); the cooking basics including a hob, electric kettle, grill/toaster, tableware & utensils; free drinks as well as unlimited free filtered drinking water for you. Security features include locks on the bedroom doors, window bars, insect screens, 3 pin shuttered electrical sockets with switches all in a gated compound to provide you with a good sense of safety. You have free WI-FI 24 hours Your two bedrooms have both air-conditioning. The living space is a cool room with a floor standing fan. Big rooms, big beds, big fridge, big bathrooms; big kettle, big seating, big living space, big hearts. Wake up to some delightful bird songs (real not reel) or catch some awesome scents of the flowers in bloom. Stay 2-3 days to make your visit more worthwhile; enough time for your senses to re-calibrate & to get in tune with nature. You have free parking on the premises or free roadside parking in front of the house with CCTV monitor. The atmosphere is cool & spacious with beautiful views of the green hills above a stream (or lake at high water) with mist or clouds often hiding in the hills. Your terrace & patio have a table with benches each. Villa Scĕnns is a unique, substantial, brick & terracotta cool country house designed & built by the current owner in 2009 in its own private gated compound. Your accommodation covers the comlete ground floor of Villa Scĕnns. Guest access You've access to the shared front garden, seating & parking area; also private access to your bedrooms from the side gardens as well as to the shared living space & kitchen. During your stay You will be welcomed on arrival by me &/or my family; after introductions and a room guide you will have complete privacy; once a day, if I don't see you, I will usually contact you to check all is well. You can contact me (or Sea) if you have any questions at all; I live upstairs & I am usually available to give you guidance on anything relating to your stay; we will always offer to help you if we can. One friendly dog lives here but won't visit your space; if you love dogs you can be introduced to her too. Your house mates, if any, are very few as we've only two other rooms; you may not see anyone else apart from me. We're very happy to give you face-to-face recommendations of any secret spots or local sights not yet online in the area if you wish; Sangkhla is not on the tourist trail so much yet & the nearest TAT tourist office is 200 km away. Other things to note Affordable laundry machines 20 meters from Villa Scĕnns. You can find us in Sangkhlaburi district, part of Kanchanaburi province (about 210 km north west of the provincial capital also named Kanchanaburi). Tribulations; as electricity generators and internet servers are far away through hundreds of miles of jungle, utility cuts can happen occasionally, usually not for long; voltages fluctuate & water flow can be slow sometimes too as in many countryside spots in Thailand. We hope you won't notice any of these but please be patient in case. Mobile phone coverage is usually constant so keeping your SIM topped up is not a bad idea in case internet is down. Our guests say the wifi is excellent.
