Our Pebble on the Bay cabin is located on Big Carnelian Lake, just a few minutes north of historic Stillwater. The cabin offers full kitchen, sandy beach area, dock, paddle boat, kayaks and fire pit overlooking the lake. Two patio areas are within a few feet from the lakeshore and set up perfectly for lounging, visiting, dining and grilling. If you're looking for charm, a special place to gather, and relax near and on the water, an easy day or night trip into Stillwater (10 minute drive) for shopping, restaurants, trolly ride or proximity to William O'Brien State Park for biking/hiking- then this is the perfect place! Built in 1953 the cabin retains it's authenticity of knotty pine, wood floors, french doors, claw foot tub and sleeping nook with built in bed/draw curtain. Yet, boasts the comforts of home. There is parking for up to 3 cars maximum. There is no street parking available. From the driveway, there are 38 steps (with 2 rails and landing) down to the cabin. This makes for wonderful living right next to the lake, but also presents a necessary consideration for guests who have difficulty navigating stairs due to health issues. We live nearby. Bob and I are both a phone call or text away during your stay. If there is a "little special something" you would like in place prior to your arrival-let me know. Upon arrival-I will meet you at the cabin to hand over keys etc. The cabin offers the quiet of Big Carnelian Lake with both paved and dirt roads for a leisurely morning or evening walk. Tucked away amongst surrounding farms, it really feels like we have "gotten away" after a trip to the cabin. Located a half hour northeast of St Paul, 25 minutes south of Taylor Falls and 15 minutes east of Dellwood township. The neighborhood is home to year round residents and seasonal cabin dwellers. A public access/boat landing is available across the lake. Our guests have reported being successful with the use of Uber services to Stillwater. Coffee, tea, towels, bath salts, linens provided. Gas grill available on deck. Bundles of firewood available for purchase. We also have plenty of life jackets on hand in adult and children sizes.
