Studio "Glärnisch" with kitchenette

The studio “Glärnisch” is located in the listed Oberhaus on lake Zurich. Since 2021, the elegant wine-grower’s house from 1743 houses a B&B. The studio is located on the south-east side of the building and consists of two rooms and a bathroom with shower/toilet. It is suitable for a maximum of 4 adults. Breakfast and sauna can be booked. Shared use of the private access to the lake is included. Parking spaces are available, the train station is 5 min. away from the accommodation. The space The studio is located on the south-east side of the historic Oberhaus with a view of the garden and Lake Zurich. It comprises two rooms on two floors (mezzanine and 1st floor), which are directly connected by a winding staircase. However, both rooms are also directly accessible from the corridor. A bathroom with shower/WC completes the studio. In the lower room there is a fully equipped kitchenette, two single beds as well as a sitting area and a table with chairs. This room is furnished with antique furniture from the Oberhaus. In the upper room there is a double bed made of solid oak with separate slatted frames and mattresses and double bedding and a seating area with upholstered furniture also made of oak. The studio is suitable for a maximum of four adults. The bathroom with shower/WC was newly built in 2021. Bed linen and bathroom towels are included, as well as sauna textiles. Breakfast can be booked as well. It is served in the garden seating area in summer and in the former wash house in winter. There is also a sauna in the winter months and a rowing boat in the summer months. Guests may also use the private lake access. It's a good place to take a dip in the evening. The access is not suitable for non-swimmers or children and adults who are not yet safe swimmers. For such, the public bathing facility in Feldbach is recommended, which is a 10 min. walk away. A car park is available in the courtyard. In addition to their private rooms, guests have a number of lounging areas at their disposal, for example the south-facing loggia balcony on the first floor or the gravel area in front of the washhouse, both with a fantastic view. Guest access The studio is part of the B&B Oberhaushof, which is located on the two lower floors of the Oberhaus. You reach the Bed & Breakfast via the garden and an outdoor staircase. The hosts live on the property, but only the guests of the Bed & Breakfast stay at the Oberhaus. During your stay We are happy to welcome you in person if possible and are also available to answer any questions you may have. Other things to note The studio is equipped with a fully equipped kitchenette with hot plates, hot air oven/microwave, small dishwasher, refrigerator as well as a Beanarella capsule machine (with compostable capsules) and a kettle. We are happy to offer you a buffet breakfast in the beautiful breakfast room in the garden of the B&B Oberhaushof. This costs CHF 16 per person. Children below 12 years pay the half price. We offer this from 08:00 to 10:00 - other times on request. If you are interested, just approach the hosts! In winter breakfast is served in the old washhouse. The studio in the listed Oberhaus is suitable for adults and families with children from the age of 8. Since 2023, we offer a publicly accessible charging station for electric vehicles at the Oberhaushof. Restaurants: The Badi Feldbach (which also rents out pedalos) with its bistro is a 10-minute walk away and is in a very beautiful location. The address for workers and cyclists: You can find hearty food and a cold beer at Hans-Heiri, the pub in the headquarters of the Zurich brewery Hürlimann. Thai takeaway Thai Thong directly below the roundabout (100 metres from the B&B).
