Converted artist's studio with stunning views

Colhay Studio is a light and airy former artist's space that we have converted into a comfortable, unique holiday home. Set in a rural hamlet, it is the perfect place to relax and recharge enjoying the private garden area with fish pond, water feature and large patio area. Colhay Studio is the perfect location from which to explore the rugged north coast, picturesque fishing villages, Bodmin moor or as a base for day trips to various attractions. Available for Monday or Friday changeovers. The space The spacious open-plan layout features a comfortable mezzanine bedroom with king-size bed , a well-appointed kitchen, dining area with French doors overlooking the pond and gardens, and an impressive double height lounge area with custom-made stained glass window and contemporary wood burning stove. There is a wet room with shower, sink and WC on the ground level. The garden is professionally managed and features a koi pond, lawns, and spacious patio with outdoor seating and a gas BBQ and fire pit solely for guests of the studio. The front of the property has views over the charming green in the centre of the small hamlet, and from the bedroom balcony and garden you can see for miles over the valley beyond, and in clear weather, over to Dartmoor. Guest access Colhay Studio shares our driveway but has its own dedicated parking area. It has a large but private gated garden that is not overlooked by any other properties. Other things to note We welcome one or two well behaved dogs but would ask they stay downstairs and are not allowed on the furniture. Please keep dogs on a lead on the shared driveway. The Studio garden is private and fenced but a determined dog could escape. Please also keep dogs out of the pond. We provide one set of bedding for the main bedroom. Please do let me know if you are intending to make use of the sofa bed and I’ll put an extra set of bedding in ( extra charge of £20) Please note the studio is open plan and there are no blinds on the velux skylights over the living area (too high to reach easily), so we provide eye masks for guests who prefer complete darkness to sleep.
