Enjoy your home away from home! Brand new full basement apartment with separate private entrance for guest(s). Apartment includes full kitchen, living room, washer and dryer – all brand new. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood with gorgeous mountain views. Located just off Bangerter Highway and 3 mins to Costco, Walmart, and other amenities. Enjoy a morning or evening hike around a nearby lake. Complimentary tea, hot chocolate etc. The space The apartment is very large, very comfortable, and very well equipped. Even though it is technically a "basement apartment", it certainly does not feel like one since the ceilings are high and there are windows to let in light. Great place to stroll and if you want to venture farther, there is a lake nearby with lots of birds. Try the pizza at Mountain Mike's - they have a buffet for lunch most days and dinner a couple nights a week. There are grocery stores and several restaurants located within five minutes drive or walk. The location is great for skiing and for Salt Lake City and the drive is a straight shot to the mountains. When the canyon roads are questionable, one can take the ski bus which is a 15 minute drive away and very conveniently located to our place. Guest access You will have whole basement space to yourself and whoever you will be bringing along with you. The entry to the basement apartment is on the east side of the house and you will go through an unlocked gate to get to the entrance. Pets Information: No pets allowed Wi-Fi information. Wi-Fi Name is Harare Password is Basil415 Heating/ventilation instructions. Please note that heating/air-conditioning is controlled from upstairs; please let us know if you need us to increase/decrease the temperature. In the summer it’s hot very hot upstairs but cooler in the basement. When the A/C is running it may get too cold in the basement and if that is the case you can either shut off the air vents or open some windows. You may also use the fireplace as needed – please remember to turn it off before going to bed or leaving the home How to unlock the door or entryway. The pin code will be provided on or the day before you are scheduled to arrive. Are snacks provided? Complimentary tea/hot chocolate/coffee Instructions for garbage & recycling. When is trash pickup day? Please use the trash can provided and separate trash from recyclables Trash Day is Friday morning, so please use large gray trash cans located outside the apartment, to empty any trash you may have by the end of the day Thursday. Location of the first aid kit & fire extinguisher. First Aid Kit and Fire Extinguisher are located in storage room What to do with perishables and leftovers. Throw away any unused foods or simple leave it in the fridge whatever your preference is – either use disposal or trash can The disposal switch is located inside the cabinet under the sink, and the switch above the sink on the left needs to be on in order for the disposal to work. Do shoes come off when guests enter? Please take off your shoes to protect the floor and keep it clean and scratch free for other guests - a shoe rack (white) and a coat hanger is by the door entry on your right. Instructions for TV/Cable We have Cable/Smart TV What is usable in the linen closet? Please use towels or extra blankets as needed For children, please use the dark colored towels Tissues/paper towels?/kitchen ware? Extra toilet rolls available in the bottom drawer of bathroom vanity Paper Towels and Napkins available in kitchen Rules for kitchen cleanliness? Please keep the kitchen clean and wipe off any messes right away Do not leave dirty dishes in the sink – load up the dishwasher and turn on when full – or use paper plates or cups (provided) Please keep the sharp knife in the sleeve provided - for safety purposes and also to maintain the warranty rules Please do not put hot pots on the top of the countertops or table - they will cause damage. Any specific instructions for the bathroom? Please do not put any feminine products or paper towels down the toilet. Please use wipes, and not towels, to remove any makeup. Please do not flush down wipes even the ones that say flushable-thank you! When is the start of the courtesy quiet hour? Neighborhood laws are quiet hour is from 11:00 p.m. What should guests do with the used towels on check-out day? Please put all used towels in the laundry basket in the laundry room. For stays lasting 2 weeks or longer - please wash your bed sheets as needed except when checking out. When is check-in & check-out time? During the week, check in time is after 4:00 p.m. – this is more flexible over the weekend, and also depending on when other guests are able to check in or out. Checkout time is generally 11:00 a.m. but this may also be flexible depending on when the next guests are arriving. So if you need a later checkout or check in due to flights or other reasons, please let us know so we can see if we can accommodate your request Bedrooms: Please do not put any carry bags or suitcases on top of the beds Other - Living Room/Kitchen Living/Kitchen Note: If the 1. fireplace, 2. side lamps, 3. TV and 4. the microwave are turned on at the same time the power switch will trip. If that happens you simply need to flip back on the main switch in the switch box housed in the furnace and laundry room (the switch is in the first switch box and is labeled). Note: Turn the switch off completely then turn it back on. The power switch above the dishwasher is for both the dishwasher and the garbage disposal. General Cleaning Brooms, vacuum, and other materials are in the laundry/furnace room Right of Entry Note: The basement apartment houses all the electrical main switches including the furnace and water mains. So please be advised that we may need to enter the premises at any time with or without notice if there is an emergency or if we need to reset a power switch or something. We will however knock before entering.
