Beautiful 17th Century Cruck Barn Conversion
Description
Built in the 1600s and converted into a modern, rustic home, the Cruck is situated in a quaint farmyard nestled in the foothills of the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park. It offers a spacious building with a cozy feel – making it the perfect getaway for a family or group of friends who want to soak up some country living. This is a beautiful, tranquil place to relax and unwind. However, if it's adventure you're after there's hiking and outdoor pursuits on the back doorstep. The space Upstairs Master bedroom ("The Bluff") 1 x standard size double Family room ("The Twmpa") 1 x super kingsize double 2 x single beds Standard double room ("The Begwns") 1 x standard double Bathroom Bath with electric shower over, toilet and sink. Also boasts some of the best views of the Black Mountains! ========== Downstairs A large open plan space for the kitchen, dining and sitting room areas – most of which has a double height ceiling exposing the original wooden beams of the cruck barn construction. Sitting room area 3 sizeable sofas to relax on. Views of the Black Mountains (Brecon Beacons National Park) on one side and the farm yard on the other. Also has an additional, comfortable 2/3 size sofa bed. There are radiators all over the property, but the sitting area also has a log burner (logs can be purchased at the Old Railway Garden Centre right down the road). Double doors lead out onto the patio (where there is outside dining furniture) and the garden. Kitchen area Views of the Black Mountains and our garden/patio area. Guests are welcome to use the dishwasher, oven/hob/grill and all the pots and pans we have. We use the house with our extended families, so there should be everything you need to cook up anything you want. Utility room Situated at the end of the kitchen area, containing a large fridge, washing machine and deep freezer – all of which guests are welcome to use. Downstairs toilet Accessed through the utility room, with a toilet and sink with a mirror. Patio / garden area There is wooden dining furniture in the shed and comfortable outside cushions around the corner in the storage unit (next to the oil tank). The views from the patio are stunning with fields immediately outside the garden, then forestry and the Black Mountains beyond. We have a kettle BBQ which guests are welcome to use and expected to clean after use. You will sometimes find horses in the field outside and there are forestry walks all around the property. Guest access We're located in a working (but quiet) farmyard and we have parking directly outside us. Our neighbours are long standing friends so please be respectful of their space and park as closely to the log shed outside of the Cruck as you can, taking as little space as possible.
