Fantastic location! Warm & cozy. This spacious private 2 bedroom plus bonus bunk bed room is in a super friendly fun basement apartment in one of the coolest neighborhoods in Denver. Walk 7 blocks to Tennyson St. for great shops, restaurants & bars. Quick jump onto I-70 provides easy access to explore the mountains, Red Rocks (20min), Golden, Boulder & more! Rebuilt after a fire, my home is a labor of love. Enjoy modern conveniences of new construction infused with warmth comfort & creativity. The space Accessed by a private entrance down the stairs to the lower level, the large egress windows and tall ceilings make this 1000 sq foot apartment light and bright. Choose between the tranquility of the king bedroom draped with gold velvet blackout curtains or retreat into the whimsy of the forest bedroom with 2 comfortable extra-long twin beds. There is also a secret bonus bunk room with a twin-over-full bunk bed to throw the kiddos in or a snoring companion. Every room takes on a different ambiance and feel, and the bathroom is no exception with cobalt blue tile flooring, a gorgeous Talavera sink, and a custom vanity made by a Mexican artist/furniture-maker friend who also built the semi-circle kitchen island that is the hub of the open living space. The kitchen is well-stocked with all the essential appliances, cookware, extensive condiments, and basic ingredients that I anticipated you might need, as well as a coffee & tea bar that will please most. I'm a personal assistant so being the hostess with the mostess comes to me naturally :) Guest access Street parking is plentiful in front of our house. And if you want to park your car and forget about it, walking is our favorite way to get around the neighborhood. I think you will love the friendly neighborhood vibe as much as I do, so don't hesitate to relax on the Adirondacks on the paved patio in the front yard. The apartment is private and yours to enjoy exclusively. We are easygoing about pretty much everything and have been fortunate to get to host such great guests. We really want you to have a terrific stay, so don't worry about bothering us. In fact, we can't hear much of anything, so carry on as you please. Other things to note Please note, this is a basement apartment with a sometimes busy family carrying on upstairs. Despite my best efforts in trying to mitigate the sound transfer, you will likely hear us at some point. I have 2 girls (11 & 12), 1 senior mid-sized dog, 6 free-range hens always angling to make a mad dash into the house and social neighbors and friends who like to stop by. We love to listen to music, and we have a piano. Yet there are other times when my girls are at their dad's and I'm working and the house is rather quiet. We take off on adventures and sometimes we bring the adventure home with us. It is by no means constant, but it is a part of life here. It's easiest to block out bothersome noise by turning on some entertainment of your own. To make this easier, you will find portable Bluetooth speakers in every room connected to a Nest display to select music from Spotify or Pandora or to stream your own music library. Enjoy a great movie on the big screen in the living room or relax in either bedroom to a favorite show. White noise machines are provided in all the sleeping rooms as well. While I have been overly worried about this potential concern for bothersome noise, after 3-years of hosting, it doesn't appear to be much of an issue for my guests.
