Quiet part of Tain-5 min walk-High St ,Tesco, Platform 1864, or hop on train for scenic trips on Far North Line-Thurso, South-Inverness, West-Skye. Walk, run, cycle at Tain links-beautiful sea views, Stunning sunsets and if you are lucky the Northern Lights! All just a few steps away-we are so lucky! The space Our Railway Cottage home of over 30 years was extended to form ensuite rooms@Tain Links Bnb. Guest rooms are up stairs and have TV, fridge,kettle etc and central heating. Guest Kitchenette/dining downstairs overlooking the private garden-with all social distancing guidelines in shared areas. The Far North Line train rolls slowly by towards the station. We love to get a toot and a wave! We enjoy sharing our local knowledge with guests and also like to give guests their own space to relax. Guest access On the NC500 We are in a lovely quiet corner of historic Tain near to Links, Golf course, pond and playpark. 2 mins from High Street, Bus service, Trains and 1hr from Inverness airport. Plenty parking available on street or 1-2 spaces on driveway During your stay Born and brought up in Tain we enjoy passing on our local knowledge of this lovely part of the Highlands and are usually available for interaction and advice if required. Other things to note Although we are near the Railway line the trains are few and far between and slowly roll in and out of the station adding welcome interest to our location with the occasional special steam train puffing its way up the scenic Far North Line from Inverness to Thurso
