The Gatehouse Getaway, a quiet stay near the fun!
Peaceful and centrally located, this duplex home serves as a perfect homebase for exploring all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. With plenty of local amenities and creature comforts in nearby Burlington, there is truly something for everyone! The Gatehouse Getaway is a home that was built when yards were generous and homes had some space between them. North Skagit Street is cul-de-sac off of the North Cascade Highway near Interstate 5 in Burlington. This home is toward the end on its street and well away from the major flow of traffic. Upon entering the space, you're immediately greeted by an airy, open concept living space, which leads directly into the dining nook, and galley kitchen. Separating these two spaces is a small hallway, which leads you to both bedrooms, as well as a generous bathroom. Throughout the house, windows and sliding glass doors invite the outdoors in, providing a sneak peek of all that awaits you. Both the front and back yards include plenty of yard space, perfect for barbecuing, lawn games, or a good game of fetch. The space was created specifically with northwest adventurers in mind, so each room within this home offers opportunities to retreat and relax, as well as plan your next great excursion. North Skagit Street crosses Highway 20, (SR20/The North Cascade Highway), about a mile East of Interstate 5 at the eastern edge of the city of Burlington. The Gatehouse Getaway is about a half mile North of SR20 on N. Skagit Street towards the end, where all homes are similar and were built as a development for young families. The garage is for one compact car and has an automatic garage door opener. (Please do not drive off with this door opener when you depart!) The driveway has room for a larger vehicle or two smaller ones parked one behind the other. The street also has parking on the east shoulder that can fit a vehicle with a trailer attached and other vehicles. I will be available through Airbnb messaging to answer question for my guests. I live in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island about 25 miles from the Gatehouse Getaway. If hands on help is needed, I can contact my family members living nearby in Burlington for possible assistance. Please let me know if you are traveling with a pet and register your pet when you book. Pets require additional considerations for additional cleaning time and the housekeepers need notice. (For example.... When pets are allowed to sleep in and on beds the sheets and bedding may require to be laundered multiple times to remove all of the pet hair.) The Gatehouse Getaway is situated within a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. There is so much to see and do and to make the most of it all…, having a car is highly recommended.
