This light and airy, basement walkout apartment is located off the beaten path on a beautiful country acre. This airy space is filled with character and charm and is fully equipped. The apartment is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Located 7 miles from McDaniel College and Westminster, 20 miles from Gettysburg, and 23 miles from Frederick, it's a great location for dining, exploring, shopping and enjoying all the college has to offer. This one bedroom apartment includes a large fully equipped kitchen, a spacious bedroom, a large, stylish living room, a full bathroom, and a private office nook. Head out through the kitchen glass sliding doors to your own private back porch and patio overlooking a lovely backyard. Enjoy the birds, the quiet, and the sunrise, as you have your morning coffee. While the apartment is below the main house, the space is private, bright and airy, and all yours during your stay. Guest access A shared washer and dryer is located in a spacious laundry room adjacent to the apartment. You will find nontoxic laundry products for your use, as well as an iron and ironing board. The apartment also includes a private back porch and patio accessed by sliding glass doors off of the kitchen, and a large back yard. Other things to note After 8 years of hosting and 200+ 5 star reviews, we have recently redecorated, refreshed, and updated the entire apartment. The upgrades include new carpet in the living room, a new “Purple” mattress (rated in the top 10 for 2025), and brand new bedding. Pack light! The apartment is FULLY stocked! In the bathroom, you will find bathroom towels, non toxic toiletries, and a blow dryer. In addition to a fully stocked kitchen, you will find eggs, juice, milk, and homemade gluten free muffins in the refrigerator. There are also dry cereals, organic oats, and a few snacks in the cabinet. I’m a huge fan of coffee, and as such I’ve equipped the apartment with single origin, direct trade coffee from Kookaburra Coffee, which is a medium roast ground coffee roasted in St. Augustine FL, as well as a variety of Keurig options. And of course, you’ll also find 1/2 & 1/2, a variety of sweeteners, and a variety of teas. Brew your coffee in the dual Cuisinart Coffee Center, a French Press, or a Pour Over Coffee Maker. Basic kitchen condiments can be found in the refrigerator and the cabinet. You will find everything you need to prepare, serve, enjoy, and clean up your meals, if you choose to cook.
