Other things to note Dogs are allowed, but must be leashed on the premises, as a cat is also allowed to roam freely here. The property is not fenced. Here, in the middle of the forest, there are only 5 houses. The house where I am staying is, by the way, a former carbide factory, which is now rented to vacation guests. This was built together with the hydroelectric power station next door, which is now the oldest hydroelectric power station still in operation in Rhineland-Palatinate, at the beginning of the last century.
