For 2022 we will be updating deck, enlarging fire ring area, adding A/C, increasing beach, and more. Enjoy the best waterfront location on CDA Lake, grass to the sandy beach, private dock w/power, fire ring, paddle board & kayak, and stunning views of the lake. This 3 bedroom cabin is on the west side, an easy drive to Coeur d alene and Silverwood. Start your day golfing at the Floating Green, finish lounging on the beach. Carlin Bay, Rockford Bay, and Harrison are only minutes away. The space We are long time local Coeur d Alene residents who use the cabin regularly. As such, it is maintained very well. In the past we have used third party sources to manage our property. While they have done a great job, we have decided to take over management to help guarantee that all of our guests have a great experience. We look forward to you having a great visit. This is quite the place...the original owners homesteaded this entire area and this was their house. Mr. Sandaker cut all the logs for this cabin on property and skidded them with a mule team. He then hand notched and chinked the logs, built the cabin without spikes, and poured the foundation himself using Portland cement, and rocks and sand from down at the beach. When we bought the cabin we decided not to tear it down, but to modernize it with today's comforts, and appreciate the history of this spot. Lush green lawn, fire ring, sandy beach, private covered boat dock with chaise lounges, power and water, and nobody behind you as Idaho's Fish and Game owns the property behind the cabin. We especially love the beautiful lake views from the cabin, fire ring, and dock. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. We have added internet, and Verizon has good reception for your cell phones. Also, for 2022 we will be charging a $175 non-refundable pet fee. Code will be given upon completion of payment. *Nearby amenities: Approximately 1 mile south on Loffs Bay road is a public boat launch. If you feel more comfortable, you can launch approximately 4 miles north, in Mica Bay, or approximately 4 miles south, at Rockford Bay. Rockford Bay is Home to Shooters Restaurant. Across the lake is Carlin Bay Resort. *Boat Dock: The dock at the house is for your use. Please use with caution and at your own risk. Owner is not responsible for any damage to boat or injury related to usage. *Sheds: The wooden shed, near the beach stairway, is provided for your use, as are the float toys included within. All other sheds/root cellars are locked/not for use. HOUSE INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS *This is a non-smoking residence. Please do not smoke indoors. Smoking indoors will result in extra cleaning charges. *fire extinguishers are located under the kitchen sink and in the Pantry. *A first aid kit is located in the pantry. *Water system: Cabin water is purified by a filter system complete with a UV light. *Garbage: Please note that Garbage bags are provided for your use. They are located in the pantry. Please put all garbage in cans behind the cabin. *Firewood: firewood is available for your use. Take care in using fire ring as you assume all responsibility for its use. *Toilet: Toilet is on a septic system. Toilet paper is provided, or use your own that is approved for septic systems. System is very sensitive to misuse or overuse. Please do not dispose of sanitary products in toilet, use trash receptacles. Do not overfill toilet with toilet paper of put any foreign objects in toilets. This will cause septic pump to fail. *Soap: Dish and laundry soap will be provided .Use only the soap provided for dishwashing. Use only the soap provided for the washing machine. Do not use any bleach. *Temp: The thermostat is located next to the pantry entry. The floor heat system is not activated in the summer, so please do not adjust the thermostat in the summer! *Circuit Breaker Box: Circuit Breaker Box located in the entry/dining room, with the master shutoff behind the cabin. *Water Main shut off: In crawl space, under hatch in dining room. Master on/off valve will be painted green. *Water Pump shut off: On/Off removeable ‘paddle type’ circuit breaker to left of the Frost-free hydrants, to the left of the front door. *Frost free hydrants: Do not use the hydrants. Please use the hose at the SE corner of the lower deck. Please turn off when not in use. *Sprinkler System: Do not adjust or tamper with sprinklers/timer. Sprinklers come on early in morning. Upper and lower lawn sprinklers also come on at approx 5:00 pm for 25 minutes. *Fireplaces: DO NOT USE INDOOR WOOD STOVE!! NO USE DURING SUMMER MONTHS!!! Fire Hazard! *Furnishings and Electronics: Please Do not move, change or alter in any way. *Indoor locked areas: These areas are for owner’s personal property. Please Do not open, or try to open. *Remotes: Lost remotes will require replacement and reprogramming which entails a service call and corresponding fee. Instructions for remotes are on the coffee table. *Pay per view: Pay per View is not available, so bring DVD’s . *Appliances: All appliances are provided for your use and enjoyment. They are provided on an as is basis. Effort will be taken to fix or replace items that become inoperable during your stay. *Range: The Range is propane powered. Range top burners require the use of a match or supplied stick lighter to start. If burner does not start, do not use. The oven requires no outside ignition source and will start with the knob control. *Pets: Be a good neighbor and clean up after your pets. *Inventory: There is a photo inventory of the condition and contents of premise. CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT IMPORTANT: Please adhere to your designated check in and out times. Due to the time needed in preparing the home for guests we ask that you check out by your designated time. Late check outs prevent the next guest from being able to arrive on time. Thank you for your consideration.
