48' Yacht ideally located on the Cape Fear River

This beautifully furnished 48' Hatteras yacht offers a unique experience to stay directly on the Cape Fear River. In the heart of historic downtown Wilmington, it is ideally located. Walk to shops, restaurants, bars and live music including the Amphitheater at Riverfront Park. Boasting one of the best docks in the private Port City Marina, you will have unprecedented views of the Battleship NC. Sit on the aft deck for sunsets or the upper helm for open air, lofty views of the River Walk. The space Onboard you will enjoy all the comforts of home including a main salon (living room), full galley (kitchen) with glassware, dishes, full size fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven and stove. While the boat accommodates 6 guests, we prefer 3 overnight guests for maximum comfort (4 on a case-by-case basis). The master cabin with queen bed and forward V-berth with bunk beds sleep 4 people. A sleeper sofa in the main salon is an alternative to the V-berth and also allow an additional guest (NOTE: there is a $50 added charge per person per night for the 4th guest.) While there are not a lot of steps on the Southern Cross, they are steep. It helps to be fit and flexible. We want our guests to be comfortable, so please do not book a stay if you have knee, hip or other mobility issues. Unfortunately, it is NOT safe for children under the age of 12. The river is very swift and is simply too dangerous. Boat includes ample storage/closet space, "shore power" (i.e., full electricity), AC and heat, hot/cold water, and linens/towels. There are three TVs with DVDs (master, aft-deck and salon). Guest access One parking pass is provided, with ample parking available nearby in garages as well as some free on-street parking. There is drive up access to the boat on the pier for loading/unloading. It is imperative that we meet guests to give them an orientation. Other things to note Rental includes the marina dock fee of $100/day ($150/day holidays and $175/day concerts). Rental does NOT include taking the boat out. She will remain docked at the marina during your stay. The marina has a bathroom and shower facility within easy walking distance from the boat (pictures of which are shown under "Full Bath 2" in the listing) open 9 to 5 Monday to Saturday.
