Our Sage Suite at the Inn at Gard Public House offers a unique farm country experience for up to 4 people with a comfy queen bed, queen sofa bed, full kitchen, full bath, dining area, and living room with 55" TV. Our award winning farm-to-table restaurant is located downstairs. Located 30 min from Gorge concerts, Moses Lake, Othello - hunting, fishing, water sports, wine tasting, bird watching, hiking. Concert shuttle available for added fee. Walk to restaurants, groceries, ATM, espresso. The space Gard Public House Restaurant & Inn features a farm-to-table restaurant and award-winning estate wines from Gard Vintners grown on the Royal Slope. Suites for the inn are located upstairs from the restaurant (stairs required as we do not have an elevator.) Each is uniquely decorated with a modern rustic vibe. The building was Royal City's historic hotel that was completely rebuilt from the ground up in 2017. You may at times hear noise from the restaurant or neighbors. Guest access One of 8 condos located upstairs from Gard Public House Restaurant. Stairs are required. You will be emailed a door code the day of your arrival. Other things to note * This suite is located above restaurant. Noise may be heard at times. Royal City is a very small rural farming community located approximately 30 minutes from a variety of activities including the Gorge Amphitheater, Columbia River at Vantage, Moses Lake, Potholes Reservoir, Mardon Resort, Columbia Basin National Wildlife Refuge, Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail, hunting, fishing, hiking, watersports and more. We are located 17 miles east of Vantage just off Hwy 26. As a small town, Royal City's commercial offerings are somewhat limited, but we do have all the basics if needed for your stay: Harvest Foods grocery, Sandoval's Market, Ace Hardware, Napa Auto Parts, Mack's Mocha espresso stand, car wash, laundromats, and a few other restaurants beyond our own Gard Public House. Other local attractions include Seed Cupboard Nursery and Tonnemaker Hill Farm produce stand. Breakfast options are limited in Royal City, but your suite is equipped with a full kitchen if you'd like to prepare your own. Breakfast available in Royal City: Subway, Mack's Mocha (bagels), Harvest Foods deli. At Potholes/Mardon Resort 20 minutes or so away oftentimes the Beach House or Potholes Bar and Grill offer breakfast - we suggest calling ahead. For more adventurous foodies who don't mind a longer drive, we highly recommend Cloudview Kitchen, a funky little place with scratch-made farm-to-table breakfasts and fresh pastries - call ahead to check days/hours.
