The space Our 75m2/807ft2, two separate bedroom spacious apartment, is located in the top Acropolis residential area called "Koukaki/Makrygianni", at just a 5 minute walk from the Acropolis itself, in the very heart of its old historic center. We always welcome our guests in person at their arrival at the apartment and supply them with "local insider" info on lesser known "Hidden Gems" in the historic center of Athens, which on their own they probably would not know about. With over 4 million inhabitants, amazing Athens is one of the big capitals of Europe, with a large and widespread city center, some areas of which are at over a 40 minute walk from the Acropolis. As our area "Koukaki/Makrygianni" is situated right next the Acropolis, where you will find within a short walking distance its famous lively tourist district “Plaka”, the Acropolis museum, all the historical ancient sites of the city, the traditional presidential guards at the parliament building, the old Olympic stadium, the metro and its main commercial center. Central Athens also is a buzzing and vibrant city. In this context the street in which our apartment is situated, in the very residential heart of the historic center, is a rare oasis of peace and tranquility, located in the most sought after by tourists and Athenians, trendy and safe neighborhood of the Acropolis area. Our apartment, is located on the second floor, in a 5 floor classical apartment building with an elevator. The apartment has two small balconies, one at the back and one at the front with two chairs and a small table, with (side) view of the Acropolis and free high speed WiFi. All windows have blinds and are double glazed thermal-insulated and soundproof. The living room with classical furniture in true “Old Athens” style, has a three person couch, two comfortable single chairs and a Sony Led TV. The couch can be opened and becomes a large single bed, or small two person bed. The apartment has two separate bedrooms: one with two single beds - (A third single folding bed can be added. This bed is comfortable, but is only suited for persons up to 1.70m height and maximum 60kg weight)- and the main bedroom with a double bed. Its bathroom has a toilet, a washing table with mirror and a good size bath with shower and a washing machine. Toilet paper, shampoo, soap, towels and bed linens are provided. The apartment has a newly fitted and fully equipped stylish kitchen, with a 4 person dining table (a 5th chair is available to be added). It also has a small separate office area with a large table and two chairs, perfect for writing, or using your laptop. Due to its orientation, the apartment is by itself naturally cool in summer and comfortably warm in winter. It has air conditioning for summer and separate central heating in all rooms, keeping the apartment warm and cozy all day during winter. Want to get to know Athens from a local ?
