Our homestead is located at a walking distance from the beach, natural park of "Ria de Alvor" and Alvor Town. With 4 individual charming rural houses, this property is ideal for Birdwatching, Walkers, Relaxing, Beach holidays and Retreats. You can also enjoy the wonderful local gastronomy, Boat trips, Kitesurfing, Safaris, and much more. Nevertheless, we are at close range from supermarkets, pharmacies, health clinics and hospitals, restaurants and day & night activities. The space Casa Laranjeira is a one-bedroom house in open space style with mezzanine, integrated in a property with 4 more houses with shared swimming pool and gardens. No need to drive or worry about parking! Just grab a hat, some comfy shoes, a bike or even a pair of rollerblades and off you go! It is the perfect place to relax and recharge your energy. It is Ideal for couples, individual adventures, families (with or without children) and groups. Guest access The Ria de Alvor is a very rich area in marine fauna and flora. In the last couple of of years the local city hall has made an effort to increase the protection of the area preventing vehicles to cross this area without proper authorization. One of the measures was to build this walkway and close area to motor vehicles (Only non motor vehicles like bikes can go in). You can also find a park where you can leave your car and start walking. The walkway will split several times. On the right it will take you across the marsh area where you can see lots of birds, small fishes, crabs etc... to a small beach inside the ria lagoon. To the left it will take you across the dunes to the beaches further away from touristic areas. There are rest areas on the way where you can sit, relax and enjoy the quiet of the area. It´s about 3 kms from one end to another, but, because you have to come back you can walk easily 4 or 5 Kms without noticing it. We advise a walk at the end of a summer day. It´s wheelchair accessible ! Other things to note We have 3 friendly little/medium dogs and 2 cats. They love to great all our guest and show you they are happy to see you. The pool was adapted from what was originally a watering tank so the maximum depth is 1,2 meters. It is 7 meters long by 6 meters wide. This is a rural/countryside property: naturally, you might encounter some little insects like ants, bees, mosquitos, etc , however your life is safe! On windy days you will have leaves flying around, some ending in the pool. Registration Details 53085/AL
