Middle River Beach House (West House)

Completed in June 2018, this beach house is perfect for up to 2 families looking for a beachside escape. The West House consists of 3 bedrooms (2 queen beds & a trio bunk - single over double with a single trundle) with a large open plan kitchen, lounge and dining. West house is adjoining East House via a shared laundry. Only a short walk to the stunning Snellings Beach. Middle River Beach House has magnificent panoramic views of the ocean over Snelling's and Middle River meeting the sea. The space Snellings Beach is located on the North Coast of Kangaroo Island. For this reason its a favourite destination for locals as a family friendly beach (low swell & protected from Southerly winds) and for recreational fishing. There is only limited accommodation around Snellings Beach, so it is not uncommon to have the beach all to yourself during much of the year. Keen fisherman can launch a dinghy from the beach (nearby Stokes Bay has a boat ramp) or take the kids to the river mouth hunting for small Bream and Tommy Ruff. Expect to see Kangaroos, Wallabies and Possums around the property at dawn and dusk. Guest access 'West House' guests have access to the full 2 Ha property except The 'East House' side of the house. Other things to note You will need to book your car on the ferry via SeaLink or book as passengers only via Kangaroo Island Connect and hire a car at Penneshaw. Alternatively you may be able to fly over via Regional Express and hire a car from Kingscote airport. Limited wifi available for personal devices and there is no traditional TV reception, but a Smart TV allows for limited Netflix viewing.
