This has been our holiday home for the last 14 years. We have made considerable improvements to the property since we purchased it in 2010. The property is located close to the tiny remote village of Mesia, just a 35min drive to Santiago de Compostela. The property is ideal for those who really want to get away from it all, with all the comforts of a renovated rural home with many amenities to enjoy including a heated pool, large gardens, tennis/multi-sports court and much more. The space The ground floor features a spacious eat-in kitchen equipped with a six-seater table, fridge-freezer, ice machine, dishwasher, full-size oven and stove, and microwave. The open-plan living area includes a large dining table that seats eight, as well as a cozy sitting area with seating for five around a coffee table. A steel-enclosed fireplace adds warmth and charm for winter evenings. Also on the ground floor is a study/TV room and a covered porch with a table and seating for four. There are two bathrooms: one on the ground floor with a full-length bathtub, and another on the first floor with a shower. Upstairs, there are three spacious bedrooms. Two additional foldable beds—ideal for young children—can be placed in the bedrooms as needed. The 6,000 sqm grounds include a 3m x 7m swimming pool, heated to a comfortable 27°C, and a multi-use sports court suitable for tennis, basketball, or football. For indoor entertainment, the house is stocked with a wide selection of board games—including backgammon and draughts (checkers)—along with a fantastic vintage foosball table and a ping-pong table. Guest access The house and grounds are completely and exclusively accessible to the guest. Other things to note This is an ideal property for a quiet getaway or to enjoy with family and friends. Please note that no pets are allowed as we have a cat on the property.
