Locally owned and managed. Our cabin is tucked behind pines right on Highway 63 in Cable. Full off street, private parking w/ room for trailers and toys, plus full locked gear room in basement. Easy walking distance to everything in Cable. It can sleep 5-6, but makes a great space for 2-4. 3 mi from the Birkie start, 2.5 mi from the North End Cabin. ATV & Snowmobile right from the driveway. Full furnace for heat and central air conditioning for those hot summer days! Our goal is to help you enjoy your Cable Experience - we DON'T give you a big chore list to do when you arrive and leave, like an increasing number of rentals are! We only ask that you treat the place as your own. You get the whole place. The cabin sits on 1 acre of woods within sight of Rivers Eatery, The Portage Restaurant, and the Cable Cafe. There is a forced air furnace and central air system for heating in the winter and air conditioning in the summer. There are also heated floors in the living room and the bigger bedroom, as well as a gas stove for added heat in the living room. Use the kitchen to make yourself a meal and make yourself some coffee. Washer and dryer. There is a basement with a separate room with easy outside access where you could put several bikes and plenty of gear. There are games, cards, coloring books, and a puzzle. Internet and Smart TV. Snowmobilers are welcome - it's easy access right out of the driveway to trails. It's meant to be your jumping off point for all things Chequamegon area, with quick and easy access to Cable. - We wash all bedding, including comforters, sheets, mattress covers, pillow covers and cases every time. (I've learned that this isn't always a normal thing with all places!) - We provide several towels, hand towels, and washclothes for each guest. (Also have learned that some places provide minimal numbers of them) If you have questions please don't hesitate to ask. You will have access to the cabin and the yard. You can contact us at anytime.
