Famous Swamis Beach is a 7 min walk and Moonlight Beach a 10 min walk in the other direction. Within a 2 minute walk guest are in the center of Downtown Encinitas, where they will find restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream parlors, surf shops, yoga studios, galleries, boutiques, spas & salons - even the famous historic La Paloma movie theater. The Encinitas train and Bus stations are also only a 8-minute walk. The train runs to Downtown San Diego, Old Town and other attractions providing a great way to beat the traffic. It's the perfect location for beach-going, surfing or any other water sports, running, biking and the Encinitas nightlife. The beautiful Encinitas Library with spectacular ocean views is a 5-min walk. The Del Mar Race Track/Fairgrounds is located just 5 miles South and the World famous Torrey Pines Golf/State Park with beautiful hiking trails is just 8 miles away. Guest access The host has certain beach equipment that can be used by guests on request - including skateboards, surfboards, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear etc. Other things to note We are currently raising two beautiful Leonbergers upstairs. They will be in the backyard and upstairs and even though they rarely bark, they will play together once in a while and run around, which can be audible in the downstairs rental unit. Otherwise the dogs have no access to the rental unit. Upstairs wood floors also cause audible noise. There are train tracks that run along the coast and guests will occasionally hear train horns during their stay. This is something that can't be avoided anywhere in the area if you want to stay close to the coast.
